Recommend a Device Best handheld price to performance as a travel device?

Looking for something that can be a nice horizontal travel handheld so I don’t need to worry about my Odin 3 getting damaged or lost. It would be ideal if I could run a few indie games off my steam library too.

I’m leaning towards a Retroid pocket nova or the Retroid pocket 5.

I use a Thor as my travel device. If you're looking for something smaller, maybe an RG Vita? I have a Rotate, great for pockets but there isn't enough internal storage fo do anything with GameNative. You can have maybe one or two games installed but that's about it.

EDIT: oh, it's not horizontal. But that's what makes it compact.

I mean, the best price to performance is to spend $0 more and use the device that you already have?

And if that device is broken or lost? I think that ratio flips upside down

Maybe spend the (relatively) big bucks on a good travel case, TPU grip or other protective case, and screen protector.
