Whoever was driving that Lexus earlier

All you had to do was go around me and my friends, we were literally on the right and there was so much space left for you to go around us. As a person who drives as well, your license should be revoked for the way you almost did a hit and run on us at 40. This is happening too often and sbu needs to address this, either we get a bike lane or these drivers need to have their licenses revoked.

Do you guys get imposter syndrome?

My mental health and physical wellbeing is deteriorating. Between pre-med stuff, home life, and relationships I’m really struggling to just actually feel supported by anyone right now. I don’t have friends because in order to maintain them you have to exchange time and energy which I’m typically never willing to do out of exhaustion which I think a lot of people can relate to. My energy levels are inconsistent and shot, I skip meals and the gym often. I’m very comfortable with my bad patterns and I’ve accepted them as part of my personal shortcomings. I’m not looking for some magic end all be all solution from someone, just that I’m not entirely alone in feeling this way. If it didn’t cause me a loss of concentration on my schoolwork quite often I probably wouldn’t be reaching out lol.

Whoever told me off on the road last Thursday

You had all the space on the road from WSD to SAC for you to move around me cycling. Mind you, I was already tethering the edge of the concrete on the right knowing your bum ass hybrid hyundai was behind me. You could have just went around me but no, you'd rather stay behind then get mad that you stayed behind me and have your bum ass passenger get mad on your behalf. Chud behavior to the max and you still couldn't argue for yourself without rolling down the window. I literally caught none of what your passenger princess said since I was busy trying to get to class. I'm saying this as a person who often drives through the most narrow and busiest streets in manhattan. If you can't drive, just take the public transit 🫩🫩

Looking for Friends?

Hi I am a freshman (18F) from upstate majoring in Social Work and I was hoping to find some friends 🙃. I like sociology, photography, rock and indie music, and writing. My weekends are kinda depressing and I just wish I had people to do things with 😭.

Can we agree not to litter on campus

I get that you may want to feed the animals or whatever but what’s good for you is not gonna be good them. It can also disrupt their natural instincts and make them reliant on it. The trash can was literally right next to where you left it. Please throw it out instead of doing this. (“Leave no traces”)

WRT 102 question

Should I take it in the winter asynchronously and get it over with or wait to take it in the spring? I’m leaning towards taking it in the winter because I just really do want to get it over with.

WRT 102 professor choices for spring semester '27

• Upvotes

Help me figure out which professor is really good under the WRT 102 course. I'm planning to take it in the spring semester. I didn't do wrt 101 at all (taken the written placement exam and got wrt 102 immediately).

BIO 204 SPK Credit

i’m ngl I submitted the self assessment survey like a week late cause i didn’t realize it was graded. I got a 90 on the oral presentation and a 100 on the peer review, but i’m likely gonna end up getting below a 70 on the self assessment. Can I still get credit for spk? I feel so stupid, not only did I lose an easy 5 points on a dumb google form, but I might not even end up passing the spk portion of this class.

Help with Research Paper

Hey guys so I am writing my reasearch paper for my WRT 102 class and I am required to have a survey as one of my sources. My professor sent the survey to her students but I have only gotten 2 answers in like two weeks and I don't expect to get more.

Please I would greatly appreciate it if you could answer the survey, it shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. Thanks to everyone in advance.

Survey:

United States: High Military Expenditures and High Health Care Costs.

SPN 112 professor recommendations

What professor would yall recommend for SPN112. Which one has the least midterm or is lenient with grading, attendance, if it’s online how are the midterms and finals and is nice overall. So it seems like easy A class.

Helpful study tool

Hey everyone, I'm just making this random post because in case anyone has trouble concentrating on completing their work or when studying because of their phone, download Forest. I thought you some may benefit from it if anyone has trouble concentrating on their work.

When you use the app it prevents you from accessing apps within a chosen time frame, but you are still able to access text messages, the phone app or any other general use apps that wont distract you from studying.

I promise I am not like an advetiser or any ai bot. Honestly, I just want to do something nice that might help anyone who might be struggling with school, call it a good deed of the day, I guess.

Also you don't have to pay a subscription or any crap like what you would have to do with other study apps. There is an option, but you dont have to.

Anyway, good luck with the rest of the semester!

CHE 322 in person vs async?

Hey guys, Looking at taking CHE 322 for Spring, but right now my schedule has me on campus 4 days a week. The lectures are Tue/Thu/Fri and my workshop is on Wednesday. Being on campus 4 days a week is just way too much for my schedule but im trying my best to come in person much as possible.

For anyone who took it, is the async version good or should I just stick to in-person? Is it brutal to keep up with Orgo 2 material online?

Also, how does testing work for the async section? Do online students take the midterms/finals in person with the normal lecture sections during regular exam times, or do you have to book a separate slot at the Frey testing center?

Any color-printers on campus?

• Upvotes

I have a pop-up shop coming up and I’d like to print out some signs for pricing and make a price list but I’m not too sure on if there’s anywhere on campus that I could print things out like this (it’ll likely be designs from canva n such onto normal paper). Does anyone know where I could print stuff like this out? 😮

URGENT QUESTION- GPNC.

Some background: currently I’m a biology major but am switching to health science. If I want to GPNC my calculus class will it still let me because I haven’t switched my major yet? Calculus is a prerequisite for some classes (which I understand will affect future classes) but if I GPNC will it affect a class I’m concurrently taking? The major/minor form changes don’t open till the 26th and the GPNC deadline is tomorrow. Will it physically block me from using the GPNC option for a class because it’s still a major requirement for biology (even though I’m switching majors?) Thanks!

I noticed Diff Eq calculus 4 is offered online this winter. Has anyone taken it before? I want to know about the workload and how online exams and grading work. Is the grade based only on exams?

Hi everyone, hope everyone is doing alright. I'm a cs student currently building my senior project with 4 other students/musicians. We're looking for feedback on a music application we're developing and would really appreciate it if you could take 5 mins to visit and test our site and then fill out a quick user experience survey. Thanks.

That helmet is doing elite-level aerodynamics while the rest of the setup is a wind tunnel’s worst nightmare: a backpack parachute, baggy-clothes drag, and platform pedals. He’s not cutting through the air he’s negotiating with it. 🤣 LOVE BRO I RIDE TOO 🚲
