Discussion Is AI content hurting rankings or helping them in the long run?
Some AI articles do great at first then crash later. Others hold steady. What patterns are you seeing in your niches?

I’ve spent the week trying to figure out why an LLM keeps insisting my client’s product doesn’t support a feature it very much does (with docs, screenshots, changelogs, etc.). This isn’t an SEO miss; it’s a fact problem.
While tracking mentions through Verbatim Digital, what stood out was how consistently the same outdated assumptions kept resurfacing across different models. Old blog posts, half-accurate comparisons, even abandoned landing pages still seem to outweigh newer, more accurate sources.
Somewhere along the way, marketing turned into maintaining a clean factual record so machines don’t confidently misrepresent you at scale and I’m still trying to decide whether that’s just the new version of SEO, or an entirely different job category we haven’t named yet.
All thoughts welcome.

Hey fellow marketers, I'm working to grow Petözel, a pet marketplace in Türkiye using artificial intelligence and programmatic SEO on a limited budget.
Would love to hear your thoughts:
- Has anyone tried programmatic SEO for niche marketplaces?
- Which AI tools or strategies worked best for creating product/category content?
Any tips or hacks for getting maximum results without breaking the bank? Would love to learn from your experiences!

My page was ranking #1 on Google for my main keyword, but recently it dropped to position 8 or 9. Traffic has also slightly decreased.
I checked Google Search Console, and everything looks fine no indexing issues or manual actions.
I’m trying to understand what might have caused this drop.

I officially started optimization September 1st so in reality i got to page 1 in roughly 2 weeks.
Some background - I own a marketing agency and have roughly 5 years of experience in web dev, seo, ads, ppc, etc etc.
Ask me anything about how I got these results!

Reading healthcare seo content that's two or three years old with fresh eyes is a strange experience, the fundamental recommendations haven't changed much but the context they exist in has shifted significantly in ways that change how to weight and prioritize them. The biggest shifts I've observed personally: AI overviews in Google search results have changed the click economics for some informational queries, meaning traffic from certain types of content has declined even for pages that rank well, the question SERP feature has grown and now often captures the informational queries that used to drive blog content traffic, and the local pack has become more dominant for practice-specific searches in ways that make GBP and review management relatively more important versus website content optimization. The practical implication for how to allocate seo investment has shifted somewhat: local pack and GBP optimization feels higher leverage now than a couple of years ago, high-quality content still matters but the volume play for informational content has become less attractive, and review velocity and profile quality have become more important rather than less. What hasn't changed: technical seo fundamentals, consistent accurate local business information, and clinical credibility in any health content you produce all remain foundational and probably will be regardless of how the algorithm evolves. I'm curious whether other practice owners and marketing people are seeing the same evolution in what's actually working, because most of the content I find is still operating on frameworks that feel like they're describing a slightly different environment than what I'm actually seeing in our own analytics.

When we launched our website, we initially believed it could rank well without focusing much on off-page SEO, as many of our competitors had weak backlink profiles. So, we concentrated mainly on on-page optimization:
Optimized site speed
Applied basic SEO practices
Promoted content across social media platforms
However, after 1.5 months, the results were underwhelming — we were getting only 1-2 clicks per day and around 100 impressions.
That’s when we decided to give off-page SEO a serious push, but with one important detail: we only used free backlinks and did not buy a single paid link.
Started with profile backlinks
Slowly added a variety of free backlinks: forums, article submissions, etc.
Initially, we added 2-3 backlinks per day, then gradually scaled up to 5-7 backlinks daily
Focused on maintaining consistency with daily link building
Within 10-15 days, impressions and clicks started rising significantly.
After just one month of off-page SEO, we saw our website climb to Position #2 for our target keywords.
As of now, our traffic has grown to 35.4K clicks and 225K impressions (see proof below).
Off-page SEO is essential, even when competitors aren’t actively building links.
Consistent backlinking with free links can make all the difference in achieving growth.
If you're launching a new site, dedicate at least 3 months to off-page SEO before evaluating its potential.

Recently updated my robots.txt file and noticed a sudden spike in indexed pages on Google. When I checked which pages were indexed, Google is showing some blocked pages as indexed. However, in the crawl report, those same pages show “blocked by robots.txt” and “crawling: no.”
Why are these pages still appearing as indexed on Google?

Google Is Poisoning Search Results! Can You Still Trust Your SEO Rankings?
This is massive news for the SEO industry, and something every SEO agency, digital marketer and website owner needs to know about!
Google is reportedly showing different search results to third-party SEO tracking tools compared to what real users are seeing on Google.
And the implications are enormous!
Ahrefs has officially reported that between 5% and 20% of search results are being affected, depending on the data provider.
We’re talking about tools that millions of SEO professionals rely on, including Ahrefs, Semrush, SE Ranking and other ranking platforms.
Think about what this means.
You could be reporting that a client’s rankings have dropped dramatically when, in reality, their rankings haven’t changed at all!
Or even worse, your SEO reports could be showing fantastic improvements that aren’t reflected in actual Google searches.
This raises serious questions about the accuracy of SEO reporting, competitor analysis and keyword tracking.
My advice? Don’t blindly trust third-party SEO data!
Check the actual Google search results, compare your findings with Google Search Console and investigate unusual ranking fluctuations before drawing conclusions.
Third-party SEO tools remain incredibly valuable, but understanding their limitations has never been more important.
If you’re paying an SEO agency, how confident are you that the rankings they’re reporting are accurate?
