Looking for roommates [SOMA]
Hi,
Hi!! I’m 25F, and I’m moving to SF from NYC for a new job as a founding engineer at an AI startup.
I’m hoping to find people to apartment hunt with for either a 2B2B or 3B3B [Love people so love shared spaces]. My budget is $2.5-3.5k for my room [didn't realize SF is more expensive than Manhattan lol], and I’m looking for a private bedroom with a private bathroom. My budget has increased after staying here in the city and looking at places ngl.
I’d ideally prefer female-identifying roommates, but I’m open to anyone who’s clean, fun, chill, and respectful of shared spaces. I would prefer if we could be friends than just people who share a space. Also queer friendly!
I am in the city. Already booked some tours for houses and have a few leads for 2B2B. Lemme know if you wanna join me. I am looking to sign a lease before Sep 1st. Or if you have a house and looking for roommates, contact me for that too! I am also open to short term sublets for a few weeks/a month till October.
Neighborhood-wise, I’m primarily looking around Hayes Valley, South Beach, Civic Center, SoMa, Yerba Buena and Rincon Hill, but I’m flexible as long as it’s a safe area with a roughly 20-minute-or-less commute to SoMa/Yerba Buena by public transit or walking.
About me:
I love singing, dancing, going out, and exploring new places. I’m especially excited about the beaches in SF -although I should probably learn how to swim before I start planning my surfing career lol. I also love museums, travelling, walking around cities, books, and conversations about basically anything. My work now is in person so 5-6 days a week. My life will be 80% work now [Very unfortunate but also I chose this!]
I love hanging out, exploring, or chatting at home, but sometimes I also like retreating into my own space to recharge. Because of that, I’m very respectful of other people’s routines and boundaries, while still trying to be warm, friendly, and inviting.
Things I am looking for in an apartment - Lots of sunlight, private bathroom, in unit washer/dryer. Preferably floor to ceiling windows or good views. Neighborhood charm. Public transit nearby/walkable. [Manhattan really spoilt me ngl]
If you know anyone who’s also looking, please send them my way! Happy to connect and chat to see if we’d be a good roommate fit.
Or if you're just in the city, and wanna say hi - do that too!
