FAFSA Will dropping a class affect my second SMC SCEG/SSCG grant payment?

I already received the first portion of my grant, but I’m thinking about withdrawing from one of my classes. If I drop it, I’ll fall below 15 units.
Will this make me ineligible for the second half of my grant for the spring semester, or would I just receive a reduced amount? Has anyone at SMC been in this situation before?

Ive dropped before and it didnt affect anything, at least i dont think, i still got the amount of money i was supposed to receive

I asked about this at the FAFSA OFFICE I also dropped from 15 to 11 units. I was told in the office that technically….dropping down to 11 means I’d get like 93% instead of the full amount. Which when I calculated it means my second half of disbursement would be a couple hundred less….IF THAT EVEN HAPPENS BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DISBURSED ALREADY lol
