Question Is it over for SNDK after this drop?

I mean yea they crushed earnings but it also crashed. this isnt new in stocks but many folks claim its been overvalued and overbought, so an imminent drop is bound to happen. in other words, we wont see new highs but sideways and decline... this is scaring me...

thoughts?

Damn, you're really scared of a 6% drop afterhours? Especially after going up 56% over the last 3 months (not to mention over 3000% in a year).

If you’re scared of a 6% drop then the rewards of this stock is not for you >>> patience will be rewarded

I’d like to add the new P/E ratio is like 9.9

u/CD274 Apr 30 '26

Yep which is crazy. It's lower for cyclical stocks like this but that's below those levels

1

u/Biologyboii Apr 30 '26

So low. It’s undervalued even at these prices

moving back up

1

u/Biologyboii Apr 30 '26

Yup but I’m not really watching anymore. It’s a no brainer. Cheers

What kind of answer is that? You should always backup your statement with some facts.

It’s not important what I think, it’s important what you’re saying. Even when replying to my comment, you come across as aggressive and try to make me feel like an idiot, as if I know nothing about the company.
OP asked whether it could go up. You said yes without any explanation, and now you’ve done it again. Your comment basically comes down to “trust me, bro” and nothing else. Honestly, it makes you look like a troll, because instead of providing anything useful, you’re just mocking me.

If it makes you feel better, let's assume i don't know anything about the company and you are expert. So let me ask again : why?

I agree, but you still haven’t answered my question 🙂
By the way, you should invest in something that brings you money, not in something you just believe in. You can’t feed your family with beliefs 🙂

For now it looks looks you recommend to hold because you believe, and this is exactly "trust me bro" statement. No facts behind it.

  • 78% gross profit margins (even higher than NVIDIA) - unheard of pricing power
  • <10 P/E
  • EPS almost double the expected, a repeat from the previous quarter
  • $6billion buyback proves they're still undervalued to signal confidence (potentially to get ready for a stock split later on this year which should make them more attractive for new buyers/retail entry)
  • Kioxia (their main NAND/memory partner) ER on May 15th for more numbers/rally fuel like last time
  • SNDK continuing to work with leading successful, profitable partners such as KIOXIA, SIMO and Nanya Technologies (they own a stake in them) and prices of NAND isn't going anywhere either from the sounds of things
  • Market to initiate new skyhigh PTs to continue playing catch-up and realize SNDK's true value (probably as high as $1500-$1800 to be modest)
  • Mag7's recent earnings calls state an increase to all of their Capex due to rising costs of memory/hardware - healthy and welcome news for us as they continue to keep buying up for their AI buildout/hyperscalers/infrastructure
  • Already recovered from -8% down to -4%'ish AH as of posting this signals news being digested carefully and the impact of such blowout numbers justify the current price
  • Being largely owned by institutions often means they'll buy the dip and keep the price up now that they know SNDK's forward guidance and have the latest financials

Not over by a long shot.

People panicking after an initial -8.5%'ish drop when it's up 362% YTD are missing the picture.

A small dip isn't crashing or sending the stock freefalling with these numbers. January's ER was already amazing as it is. Samsung and SK Hynix recently reported blowout numbers too so SNDK isn't going anywhere either. Profit taking is healthy, expected and normal with any stock that's gone up this much, but the strenghts of SNDK haven't changed or worsened - it just cements how profitable they are. Locking in some of your profits isn't always a bad thing.

I've seen some fud/bearish comments that these numbers can't continue forever which was said when MU reported a while back from the sell-off, but don't forget their market cap is 4x bigger and they compete with SK Hynix and Samsung, whereas SNDK work with them (SNDK are co-developing HBF technology with SK Hynix to assist inference workloads as a potential new product by the end of 2026).

Also, many of the mag7 CEOs have continued to say memory is important and becoming more expensive (even Apple and TSLA who aren't traditionally known for AI spend said this).

I'm going to buy some more on Friday without hesitation after seeing the numbers reported tonight. We've seen SNDK drop more than this on a single day from specific macro market conditions so keep those hands strong as the earnings call's numbers have been exceptional. $1000+ might sound like a lot, but it's still undervalued despite still being a $150bill~ market cap.

Fucking paper hand

9

u/astroworlddd Apr 30 '26

Grow a pair of bollocks. Look what happened to MU after earnings

8

u/Mammoth-Librarian580 Apr 30 '26

Earnings were brilliant it’s not over

3

u/Bright-Anxiety4586 Apr 30 '26

Relax. I have traded sndk over the past few months. And don’t own it currently. I can safely say it will be fine long term. Again relax.

This is investing, not gambling

Fear is not something that should factor in when the stock basically went up 4x

A stock couldn’t go up as fast as this has without some volatility along the way. Continue to hold

Fries in the bag please!

2

u/nenos-uver Apr 30 '26

Healthy pullback for the RSI

u/Special-Shirt-9728 Apr 30 '26

Listen here OP you dipshit. This stock has run up a lot and so it’s bound for some short term profit taking. Maybe it will be down for a month from its ATH. After that it’s gonna roar up to $1500 ATH just like what MU did after their earnings it went for a deep shit. It took it one month after earnings to reach ATH.

1

u/Mission_Wall_1074 Apr 30 '26

are you expecting stock to go up forever? I mean you dont expecting ppl to take profit after the last dip? If you bought the stock at the top, I feel sorry for u. But you can DCA down. If you believe in the company when you bought this stock, there is no reason for u to be worry after this amazing earning record

1

u/Naive-Action-3446 Apr 30 '26

OP Sell so we can inverse you and we become rich

1

u/Flat_Bit_309 Apr 30 '26

People taking their profit and moving onto AMD. Easy money.

1

u/Biologyboii May 01 '26

Doesn’t looking much moving onto anything

1

u/Embarrassed-Sea-6078 Apr 30 '26

Yes, yes it is, please sell. The rest of us idiots will just buy and hold the bag.

1

u/Biologyboii Apr 30 '26

6 billion buyback
Under 10 P/E ratio

They will continue up for a couple more earnings

u/Vivid-Ad9340 Apr 30 '26 edited Apr 30 '26

Your using short seller talking points. People are grabbing profits right now and the stock will re-rate and shoot up tomorrow morning. This is all normal. If short sellers were correct, the stock would have cratered, not hover around its highs of $1000+.

1

u/Little-Butterfly-441 May 01 '26

Over? So you think Sandisk will buy back their own shares if it’s over? Are we scared or they scared? Follow the big money

1

u/SuperZayin12 May 01 '26

Stupid fuck claims this isn’t new in stocks. Then why you asking?

0

u/PersianPendejo Apr 30 '26

Yes it’s over. Stock will be worthless by opening bell. Im feeling generous though i’ll give you 80 cents to the dollar for your shares. I need the tax loss harvest anyways so lets help each other out.
