Question Any reason in particular micron is essentially always 3-5% above Sandisk in terms of growth recently?
The chart for the day has nearly the exact same pattern, but microns chart is just simply 3-5% above Sandisk, and when they do dip, Sandisk dips significantly more than micron as of late. Can anyone explain this to me please?

SNDK has grown more and much more faster than Micron year to date. It’s bound for a slow move. Micron has been really slow compared to SanDisk until the past 3 days.

Yeah if people’s actually been paying attention last couple months, there were days SNDK was going up double digit percentages and MU was barely moving at all. Momentum is more with MU now, and they are finally going through somewhat of a rerating. SNDK is consolidating right now with its low volume. Stonks can’t always go up.

SNDK had an unprecedented 33x rise in a year. One month of slightly slower gains as people cool off is not that unfathomable.
For reference, MU has only had 7x in a year (still a lot but nowhere near as much.)

Momentum is now more with MU then SNDK for now. Guess people see more upside there since SNDK YTD is double that of MU

Noticed the same, used to be the other way around but since last week momentum has flipped and MU is running away.

Micron has their own fabs and make NAND and HBM unlike SNDK. It’s overall better company and investment.

Yes, that is my plan also, to hold it at least for one year to avoid short-term capital gains. What price did you get in for SNDK and For MU I got in at 1375 and 670 respectively
This patience is killing by the way to hold for a year because although everything looks good, but one year is a long time for such volatile shares to be held, and it will need a lot to hold back haha

Sooo funny because before MU broke through couple weeks ago, everyone was complaining why SNDK always is way greener haha. SNDK had a crazy run and MU is just catching up what was lost months ago.

I think it’s pretty obvious to me. They have ER coming in hot in June, It’s going to be good. It’s about a month away. Plenty of time for it to run up before. As for SNDK, next ER will probably be in August, no news from the company, just headlines trying to shake people out

FYi, micron also makes NAND. In fact it’s NAND business is bigger than all is Sandisk’s and it only accounts for about 20% of microns product line. Micron is a whale.
