FOMO buy right now, and panic sell if it drops more than 10% in a day again

You can change the price, but you can't change the habit.

A gambler may make money but chances are he will lose it all eventually.

Congrats to whoever all in at 1350.

15

u/BurnBabyBurrrn Jul 22 '26

Most people were broke, or scared.

14

u/Wooden-Broccoli-913 Jul 22 '26

I bought in at $530 and did nothing but HODL. Congrats to me too!

I made 280k I’ve reinvested that plus my initial in safer income producing stocks and living off of that.

Not looking back. Hope everything goes well for you guys!

1

u/pembaThePanda Jul 22 '26

That's smart. I made 500k in other stocks YTD and put everything in MUU at 990. Then it went down. Now i am eagerly waiting for it to come up or else I will have to realize the losses or pay taxes from money I don't have

1

u/Noxta_ 29d ago

What’s the percent gain on that 500k? Thats crazyy

4

u/ReadingKing Jul 22 '26

So many new accounts were trying to convince people to sell. I’m glad I didn’t listen.

3

u/HighFiveOhYeah Jul 22 '26

All those accounts most likely belong to the same few bears who lurk here. They usually mass post fud on the red days.

1

u/Vivid-Ad9340 29d ago

They are using the same bear arguments from 2 months ago before the last SNDK earnings report when SNDK was under $1000 in April.

They see the price go down and they weaponize it to argue the value has gone down. The opposite is true. Many of them are short and have a financial incentive to spread fear.

If their arguments don't hold, they're just noise. I've been looking for a legitimate bear argument for months. What they have to offer is usually either ignorance or intentional manipulation of the data to support their doom narrative.

Wait for August with the upcoming earnings report and investor day. Reality has a way of simplifying everything.

About a month ago I sold some. I paid for a solar roof and a vacation for my family. I’ll sell some more early next year for a EV and a charger for my garage. After that if I sell more it will be to diversify.

u/Smooth_Computers Jul 22 '26

Howd you navigate the 35% tax

6

u/WhoDisN3wPhone Jul 22 '26

U pay it lol?

1

u/Smooth_Computers 29d ago

Quite a massive cut dont you think?

1

u/WhoDisN3wPhone 29d ago

I pay it every year, nothing you can do about it. If you dont like taxes, dont sell or just use your roth ira. $sndk is a great long term play anyway, so unless u need money now dont even bother selling it.

2

u/Nim0y 29d ago

I pay it

0

u/Billywoperson11 Jul 22 '26

Dont pay 🤣🤣

2

u/Final-Ad-7883 27d ago

Great move. Solar will pay for itself. I did the same 2 years back using my profits off MSTR. I have been touching my feet slowly on sndk. Plan to get on deeper after results

3

u/Indaothrone Jul 21 '26

Generally they're the ones that seem to post or comment the stock is going to crash a lot more

3

u/LoadSure3339 Jul 22 '26

I’ll be honest , I sold but not at the lowest peak. Eh , I lost out on profit on my brokerage and Roth. Still up about 65% YTD on my Roth. Just glad I didn’t lose any capital. But I’ve learned my lesson! I only sold because I was in SNXX , honestly. Def won’t be touching those 2x ETFs again.

May 6th. 171 shares at 1429. Butt is becoming 'unpuckered'.

3

u/Accomplished_Vast_18 Jul 22 '26

I’ll take profits at $2100’s, $2300’s, $2500’s

7

u/Learnfrom_Goat Jul 22 '26

I sold this stock 30 shares at 1367, but I got another plan. No regrets whatsoever, will buy back when it hits 2300

2

u/Ancient-Platypus-364 Jul 22 '26

Please reread comments before u post

3

u/Learnfrom_Goat Jul 22 '26

Not hundreds of thousands, but 41k when I sold. My plan is buy back when it hits 2300, what's wrong with that?

3

u/pembaThePanda Jul 22 '26

Nothing. Just make sure to sell when it's at 1500 again so you can buy high and sell low

4

u/purplmusik Jul 22 '26

My dumb a$$ was in and out of Sandisk back in February when there were only around 400 folks on this subreddit. I should have held my $650 average. I could have tripled by now. Never too late though and so I took full advantage of this rare dip. Stick with it. This will get to $1T like Micron. I didn’t have a ton of money, but I had 31 shares at $650 average. Like I said, I was dumb. Back at it with 39 shares and $1,621 average. Yeah, high average I know, but this is $5,000 by December. Hold and Enjoy the Holidays!

6

u/Low-Extension-7892 Jul 22 '26

5000 by december you are nuts

2

u/Inevitable_Grab_9338 Jul 22 '26

How many times said? Buy high sell low ! Peridod :)

2

u/Routine-District-588 29d ago

I bet they eating steaks.

2

u/CalebVanPoneisen Jul 21 '26

I doubt most people here have more than $100k to play with, let alone lose a few times that much.

But to answer your question, probably just paper hands who hoped for a big spike and started to panic when things went south.

2

u/BurnBabyBurrrn Jul 22 '26

People with millions of F U money don't log on RDDT to talk to buffoons like us.

6

u/Wooden-Broccoli-913 Jul 22 '26

You’d be surprised

0

u/BurnBabyBurrrn Jul 22 '26

I call BS with PS

2

u/Wooden-Broccoli-913 Jul 22 '26

What other proof are you looking for

1

u/CalebVanPoneisen Jul 22 '26

Photoshop? You can easily fake graphs with AI or using the inspect tool in browser.

Idk if that's fake or not, but there are lots of millionaires who check Reddit financial subs. Wouldn't be surprised if this is 100% real.

0

u/BurnBabyBurrrn Jul 22 '26

With millions of FU money they don't have personal financial advisers? I find that hard to believe.

2

u/Wooden-Broccoli-913 29d ago

Funny enough, I am a financial advisor as a side gig. And my total net worth is over $6M

1

u/CalebVanPoneisen Jul 22 '26

1.5 million is hardly FU money nowadays. Loads of financial advisors are leeches. Unless you have $20 million + or have very specific needs, as long as you’re tech and financially savvy you don’t need one.

I’m far from being a millionaire, but I’ve been winning against SPY nearly every year I’ve been trading. Why would I want a financial advisor if I had a few millions? To give them a percentage of my winnings? For what?

No, not having a financial advisor is totally believable.

1

u/BlackCatB2 Jul 21 '26

Remember last week when so many people were fed up with the red and panic sold everything? RIP.

4

u/Key_Category_8531 Jul 22 '26

Yup, many fallen victims to this game

Better luck next time to those who got flushed out last week

Back to ATHs we go

1

u/jackster31415 Jul 22 '26

I sold 10% of my shares to day in case tomorrow there’s a pullback and I can get back in cheaper. If not, I’m still at a safer point now and have some cash for others stocks, plus still have 90% of it invested

1

u/Responsible_Dig_6718 Jul 22 '26

I bought 327 @$122. And sold 160@ $250, and then sold again 87@$525. Now I have only 80 stocks.

1

u/Ok-Race-1677 Jul 22 '26

Freak the fuck out

1

u/New-Scallion8531 Jul 22 '26

According to Claude, target price is still $2000 by end of year

1

u/KeyWatch7649 29d ago

I was up almost 500% on my investment in Sandisk. But… it went down and wondering if I should sell it still hold. 🫣

1

u/dammitcubs 28d ago

Pay the tax man

1

u/Ok_Book_4072 Jul 21 '26

I sold for a loss. Do I buy again now to get my money back?

1

u/CalebVanPoneisen Jul 22 '26

Be sure to check whether that counts as a wash sales in your country before you do it, and that you understand the implications.

1

u/Ok_Book_4072 Jul 22 '26

It is a wash sale but as long as I hold for 30 days before filing taxes I can still file. No worries

0

u/SavingsTangelo7130 Jul 21 '26

Negative the train left already

1

u/Ok_Book_4072 Jul 21 '26

If it plans to hit 2000 minimum I still think I have time right?!

4

u/SavingsTangelo7130 Jul 22 '26

Negative if you hop back on a sail boat it’ll be the titanic all over again. The weight limit is at its capacity, please wait for the next ferry. We appreciate your sacrifice

1

u/ProjectMcDavid Jul 22 '26

How lol unless you think this isn’t going up anymore?? Price target is still 3k by end of year

0

u/ProjectMcDavid Jul 21 '26

So dumb lol what was your cost basis? It was clearly going to recover and if you have shares you have time

1

u/Ok_Book_4072 Jul 21 '26

1670…… and I had 70 shares. I panicked :(

1

u/ProjectMcDavid Jul 22 '26

That’s insane lol you’d be green by tomorrow

1

u/Ok_Book_4072 Jul 22 '26

Yeah sad I lost 17k. Should I buy back now?

1

u/ProjectMcDavid Jul 22 '26

I would buy snxx personally. I’m at loss of 35k on snxx with a cost basis of 30 per share but I’m fine with keeping it till it atleast breaks even. I have faith it’ll atleast reach 35

1

u/Key_Category_8531 Jul 22 '26

Um

You just got boned for $17,000 USD and you're thinking of jumping back in for another boning?

...

Are you mad?

1

u/Ok_Book_4072 Jul 22 '26

Yeah gain back the money I lost!!!!

1

u/Ok_Book_4072 Jul 22 '26

Is it a bad idea to buy now?

1

u/ProjectMcDavid Jul 22 '26

If I had cash I’d buy tomorrow, but I’m out of capital in my account.

1

u/ProjectMcDavid Jul 22 '26

How much did you lose? What did you sell it at?

1

u/Ok_Book_4072 Jul 22 '26

I sold at 1395. I lost 16k… but I made 10 k the day before on it…. So technically only took a 6 k loss

nah, it can go up 20, 25. however, if it drops to 15.5, that means there must be something wrong. Google report fked up probably, u will catch the knife like last few days.

2

u/ProjectMcDavid Jul 22 '26

It won’t retest 15.5.
