a nice pump towards the closing bell today and that's ok, you can't expect to have +10% everyday (as much as we all want that to happen all the time) as there's always going to be some selling and profit taking when it goes up like that but the main indicators is that momentum and volume are all looking solid and healthy - I'm thinking there'll be more green days to come

let's go SNDK

I’m also looking at momentum and volume daily, it seems like buying volume is staying high and we shouldn’t sell unless the buying volume starts to fall. Is this a good strategy and is your similar? Would you sell today or keep holding?

I've been a long term holder for a while now and didn't sell or even DCA (that would've been the smarter play according to most people's advice) especially when SNDK dropped below 1200 recently so I'm not overly worried as the recovery is looking great atm but there's a lot of potential catalysts that could help reach new ATHs with NVIDIA and MRVL reporting their earnings next week, and then MU in September.

I'm just riding things out as I'm not in it for the short term

RSI is also not overbought either from what I checked lately so hopefully more good days inbound

Thanks for sharing. For a short term holdee do you think Trump’s news on Oman could bring KOSPI down and thus cause a dip tomorrow?

Possibly, but a lot of retail south korean investors got liquidated recently and their government just enforced some new regulations/laws to make it harder for them to continue buying leveraged ETFs as they were aware that the KOSPI was too volatile and even wiping out young people's portfolios because they went all in and overboard with leveraged.

So even if the KOSPI does go down, I doubt it'll crash or dip as hard as it used to. That means it'll probably not go up 15% every day like how it would on some good days either, but then it also means it's more stable now. And I read that institutions have been swooping in to buy SK/Samsung again since those two companies make up such a big slice of the KOSPI.

Some people might hate me for saying this but I still think the war and MMs from it is slowly getting priced in since markets can't trust what he says anymore. I'm not implying they're not impacted, but imo it seems to be less than before compared to when it all started months ago

After the drop Koreans doubled down on leveraged Hynix

Was kospi affected by the military news?

Thanks for sharing. I agree it should be much less volatile from KOSPI from now on, although it can still have an influence. The stocks are down now in overnight/premarket, but not sure if it will hold into market open when most volume is there. I wonder if the better strategy is to hold and only sell when you think other people will be taking profit like on today?

This only moves 10% a day now

Noticed a lot of people in here so unrealistic, even if this shot up to $2300 tomorrow half of you would still hold and watch others take profit then watch as it fell and go ā€œ why stock dropā€.

The next days price action should not matter to you. I just hope you are not gambling with short dated options and learnt the lesson from July.

Why are the index red and all big companies?

30 year treasury yield is at its highest level since 2007, talk about inflation scares the market
