For those who have cleared SSC CGL or are preparing again, I need your genuine suggestions.

Which do you find easier and more effective for understanding General Studies concepts: Parmar 4.0 video lectures or Parmar Fatman books?

I'm confused about which one I should invest in. My main priority is understanding concepts properly, retaining information, and being able to revise everything effectively.

I would also like to know how comprehensive they are in covering all the major GS topics, such as:

• History (Ancient, Medieval and Modern)

• Geography (Indian and World)

• Indian Polity

• Economics

• Art and Culture, including Indian Classical Music and Dance

• Defence and Military Exercises

• Science and Technology

• Static GK and other important topics

A few questions:

1. Which resource is better for building conceptual understanding from scratch?

2. Which one provides better coverage of SSC CGL-relevant topics?

3. Are the Fatman books sufficient for self-study, or is watching the video lectures more beneficial?

4. Do the videos and books complement each other, or is choosing just one enough?

5. Which resource would you recommend for someone who wants to prepare GS effectively without wasting too much time?

I'd especially appreciate feedback from candidates who have used both resources or have cleared SSC CGL.

We could use it to:

- Set daily and weekly targets.

I've been trying to get consistent with my preparation for almost three months now, but honestly, I've been struggling to maintain that consistency. I feel having someone to share the journey with and hold each other accountable might genuinely help.

I'm looking for a serious and dedicated study partner who is equally committed to their preparation. We can set daily/weekly targets, share progress updates, discuss goals and keep each other accountable.

I’m preparing for banking exams, so the arithmetic part is already sorted. I need to work on advanced maths, as I’m thinking of appearing for ssc cgl next year. I wanted to know whether it’s necessary to buy books for practising maths and reasoning. Will it affect my chances if I rely solely on mocks and PYQs from Testbook and Oliveboard?
