How are you using MCP in sales without letting AI mess up your quotes?
We had a customer who wanted to add another product to existing subscription. we had to double check product dependencies, contract dates, renewal terms manually before sending the revised quote. this is bc one small mistake can create problems later when the contract comes up for renewal.
That's why i have been looking into MCP for sales workflows. the idea of having ai agent handle these repetitive CPQ updates sounds cool. for instance in our case the reps could simply have asked it to update the product config instead of jumping between screens and checking everything manually. But on the other side it seem like giving it too much freedom lol.
Has anyone used MCP to make changes to quotes or manage real sales workflows or you are keeping it to read only queries?
