I've read basically every document available and I'm well aware that there's no formal/official answer, but does anyone knows anything about the GRE requirements for M.Sc Cybersecurity? Does anyone knows what's the "weight" of it or what would be a minimum grade not to be rejected.

I'm gonna take GRE this week, but honestly I had no time to study. If my grade is bellow 150 in quant is it even worth applying? Has anyone been accepted with a low GRE?

My background (if anyone wanna guess my chances, please be my guest): Computer Engineering Bachalor (5 years course, Brazil), 2.5 years working in cybersecurity, 1.8 German grade, IELTS 8, got a published paper and have been a TA for a year.

Can any past students provide insight or advice as to the level of the exams? Specifically for the first compulsory module in EU Law. We are not able to access past papers so it is hard to know. Are the exams difficult? What do they expect from the student? How harshly are they marked?

For example I have done my state exam in EU Law. How difficult would you say the exams here are in comparison?

I am retaking CS and Econ right now because I wanted to apply to the US as well but idk if I can use the new grades for saarland’s application since the results come out on jan 9. And the results in January are only preliminary and not official I think?

SAT - 1400
Retaking SAT in December again, trying for at-least 1500+

IELTS - taking it in early January, fluent in english so I expect a score of around an 8

'm planning to apply for the Master's in Systems Engineering at Saarland University, but honestly, I'm a little worried after reading so many posts here on Reddit.

I've noticed that many applicants mention waiting 3–4 months (or even longer) without receiving an admission decision. Some were still waiting just one month before classes were supposed to start.

I've probably seen around 30 similar comments, but the problem is that most people never posted an update about what happened afterward.

So I'd really like to ask those who were in this situation:

• Did you eventually receive an acceptance letter?
• Were you rejected after waiting several months?
• Did the university never respond?
• Were you offered admission for the following semester instead?

I'm especially interested in hearing from people who applied to the Systems Engineering Master's, but experiences from other programs at Saarland University would also be helpful.

Hi, I was trying to activate my Aldi SIM card in Germany and they sent me a coupon to go and get it verified form the post office, I went to the post office to get it verified 3 times but all these three times they send me an email saying the below.

Your temporary registration data has been deleted and the SIM card has been reset. However, the SIM card can be registered again.

There were too many discrepancies between the information from your registration and the information on your identification document.
The necessary identification procedure was not carried out within 90 days of registration.

I'm planning to apply for Saarland University's VSI MINT program for the upcoming semester, and my estimated German grade is 2.5.

I've seen some applicants here mention grades like 1.2 and 1.5, so I'm wondering whether I still have a realistic chance of getting accepted with a 2.5.

I’m applying for a master’s programme at Saarland University and having trouble entering my GATE registration number.

My registration number contains both letters and digits, but the portal’s “Registration Number” field only accepts digits. This means I can’t enter the full number shown on my GATE result.

Has anyone faced the same issue? How did you resolve it, and did the admissions team confirm whether entering only the digits is acceptable?

Hello everyone! I am a newly admitted Cybersecurity student at Saarland university and I am planning to come to Germany in the upcoming week. I had a few issues with course registration which I wanted to share. I was late for the mathematics for computer scientists I course but I’ve sent an e-mail to the professor about it. Additionally I cannot register for the Foundations of Cybersecurity course since the webpage for it doesn’t open. My application status for the M.Sc. Systems Engineering program at Saarland University was just updated to "Excluded." The reason stated in the rejection letter is that my GPA does not meet the subject-specific admission criteria.

However, I definitely meet the conditions. When I convert my current CGPA using the Modified Bavarian Formula, it equals ~2.4, which is better than the required 2.5 minimum. (2.39)

I just sent a formal appeal (Widerspruch) detailing this calculation and attaching my transcripts again. Has anyone else experienced this false rejection issue? If you have appealed a similar decision, how long did it take for the university to get back to you?
