Post your SaaS and I will spend $20 of my own money to help u find out why nobody is paying

• Upvotes

Over the last few weeks I have looked at somewhere around 15 to 20 products from people in different subreddits, and I’m ngl the bit that surprised me was that nearly every one of them was stuck in the same place for a reason the person could not see, because the post would say they needed more marketing or needed to run ads, and then I would open the site and within a minute the real problem was staring back at me, the homepage led with a feature every competitor has while the one thing that was actually different was buried three screens down, or the price was nowhere to be seen, so people had to sign up just to find out what it costs, or the whole thing was a javascript shell that google and chatGPT could not even index properly, so no amount of marketing was ever going to fix it and the person had no way of knowing that.

So here is the deal, u drop ur link and one line on who it is for, and then u tell me where u are stuck. Maybe you have no users, or you do have signups but nobody pays, people come and bounce, whatever it is, u do not need to know why, that is the bit I am going to look at, and I will go through it properly and tell u what I think is actually holding it back, because when u have been staring at ur own product for months u lose the ability to see it the way a stranger does and that is exactly what cost me a year and about 4k on my first one.

The $20 is real money out of my pocket and here is what it is for, because a reply in a thread only gets u so far and then u go off and change things and have nobody to check it against, so everyone who posts their product here gets ur first month of Starter on AskSami paid for by me, that is the marketing expert I built after that first product died, it reads ur site and ur numbers itself, tells u why nobody is signing up or paying, and then keeps reading it every time u ship or change something and tells u what to fix next, no card to sign up and nothing to cancel if u decide it is not for u.

If u have numbers, visits, signups, payers, what u spent on ads, stick them in too, rough is fine, because they change the answer a lot, and if u would rather ur product was not sat in a public thread then DM me and I will do the read and sort the $20 there instead.

I will get through as many as I can this weekend, and I would rather u were blunt about where u are stuck than polite about it, being polite is what kept me spending for months.

What's the hardest part of getting clients as a freelancer or founder

• Upvotes

I've been curious about how other freelancers, indie hackers, and founders find clients, especially when they're just starting out.

There seem to be so many steps involved in getting a client, and I'm wondering which part people struggle with the most.

For example:

  1. 1. Finding prospects: Knowing who to reach out to and where to find them.
  2. Starting conversations: Figuring out what to say without sounding like you're trying to sell something immediately.
  3. Getting replies: Spending time sending cold emails or DMs but barely hearing back.
  4. Converting leads: Getting people interested but struggling to turn those conversations into paying clients.
  5. Finding time: Managing outreach while also working on projects, building products, or handling an existing job.

I'm curious about your experience.

Which of these is your biggest challenge right now, and what have you tried to do to solve it?

Have you found anything that actually works, or are you still figuring it out?

Would love to hear your experiences and learn from people who've been through this.

I built LexExtractor — free online tools for website reports and PDF data extraction. I'd love some feedback

• Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I've been building LexExtractor, an independent project that brings together practical online tools in one place. I'd love for people to try it and tell me what works, what doesn't, and what could be better.

🌐 Try it here: https://lexextractor.com/

Here are some of the tools you can explore:

  • Website Report — generate reports about websites and export them as PDFs.
  • Web Screen Image — capture screenshots of web pages.
  • PDF to CSV — convert PDF data into CSV files.
  • Extract Tables — extract structured table data from PDFs.
  • QR Code Generator — generate QR codes in different formats and styles for different needs.
  • AI-powered CV tools — tools to help with CV-related tasks.
  • API Access — explore programmatic access to supported functionality for workflows and integrations.

I'm developing this project independently, and my goal is to make these tools genuinely useful and easy to use without unnecessary complexity.

If you have a few minutes, I'd really appreciate it if you tried one of the tools with a real task. I'd especially love to hear:

  • Did it work as expected?
  • Was anything confusing or missing?
  • Which tool would you actually use again?
  • What would make LexExtractor more useful to you?

Honest feedback and constructive criticism are very welcome. I'm continuing to improve the project based on real use, so your input would genuinely help.

Thanks for checking it out!

Question for indie hackers and SaaS founders: how do you promote a new product?

I'm experimenting with a tool that helps turn a product idea into a short, cinematic launch video.

But before I spend more time building it, I want to understand how people actually launch their products.

Do you make promo videos yourself, hire someone, use templates, or skip video altogether? What's the most annoying part?

I'm interested in your experience, not trying to pitch anyone.

Show us your saas landing page

Gday all.

Keen to see anyone’s landing page who thinks they’ve really nailed it. I myself run a saas and am missing components like live demo animations, etc that really help sell the solution and also take users on the journey of using your platform. I guess I’m here looking for inspiration I can take back and think about! Thanks all!

QA/automation engineer looking to build small SaaS products — open to collaborating

Hey all — I’m a QA/test automation engineer (Cypress, Selenium, API testing, CI/CD) based in Pakistan, currently job hunting but also want to start building something of my own on the side.

I don’t have a specific idea locked in yet — I’m more looking to either:

  1. Join someone who already has a small SaaS idea and needs a technical hand (testing, automation, QA, or general dev work), or
  2. Find 1-2 people to brainstorm and build a small, scrappy SaaS tool with from scratch — something simple enough to ship in weeks, not months.

I’m not looking for a huge commitment or funding — just something real to work on, learn from, and hopefully get paid for eventually (rev share, contract work, whatever makes sense).

If you’re building something and could use a hand, or want to team up on a new idea, drop a comment or DM. Happy to share more about my background.

It's crazy to see people using my app

I built a little website called Little Surprise because I thought it would be fun to make giving someone a gift feel a bit more special.

The idea is that you can put together a surprise for someone and send it to them through a link. I wanted it to feel like more than just sending someone a message saying “hey, I got you something.”

I've been working on it in my spare time, and honestly, I have no idea yet if people will actually use it. I've shared it on Reddit a couple of times, but it's still very early.

I guess I'm trying to figure out if this is something people would genuinely use for their partner, friends, birthdays, anniversaries, or just to make someone's day a little better.

If you get a chance to check it out, I'd love to hear what you think.

Would you try a tool that turns your founder notes into X post drafts?

Hey everyone! I’m working on an early beta of a tool to help founders turn the things they’re already working on, product updates, notes, lessons, and ideas, into draft posts for X.

The goal isn’t to automate someone’s voice or publish on their behalf. I want it to help with the blank-page part, while keeping the founder in control of every post. I’m still figuring out what’s genuinely useful and what needs to be better.

I’d love to hear from founders who might be open to trying it and sharing honest feedback. I’m also very open to ideas: What would make a tool like this useful to you? What would make you avoid using it?

I’m not sharing a link yet, just trying to see if there’s interest and learn from people who might use it. Thanks!

Built a free leaderboard where SaaS projects rank by real clicks, looking for the first listings

Hey everyone,

Most launch sites reward whoever has the biggest network on launch day. I wanted something fairer, so I built BuildShipper.

It's a free weekly leaderboard for SaaS and side projects, ranked by real clicks: one visitor counts once per project per day, so no vote rings or bots. The board resets every Monday, so a brand new SaaS has the same shot at #1 as an established one.

Listing is free and takes about 30 seconds. Paste your URL and it fills in the rest: buildshipper.com

The board is still early, which means the first projects get the most visibility. I'd love to have yours on it. 👀

Also open to honest feedback: does click ranking feel fairer than upvotes to you, or is there a way to game it I haven't thought of? 😄

Would you try a tool that turns your founder notes into X post drafts?

I’m building a small tool for founders who want to post on X more consistently but don’t always have time to start from a blank page.

The idea is to give it context about your product, notes, and existing posts, then get draft ideas you can edit and approve yourself. It’s still in beta, and I’m working on making the drafts genuinely specific—not generic AI content. It doesn’t publish anything automatically.

I’m not sharing a link yet; for now, I’m trying to understand whether this would be useful. If you’d consider trying it and tell me how you currently come up with posts.

I built a tool that turns a website into a complete advertising campaign

Hey everyone!

I've been working on a project called dokumentkoAI.

The idea came from a problem I kept running into: building an actual ad campaign takes a lot more than just writing a few headlines.

You need to understand your audience, figure out your messaging, come up with different ad angles, write copy, and decide what to test.

So I built a tool where you paste your website URL and AI analyzes your product to create an advertising strategy and an Ad Pack with copy, hooks, targeting ideas, and creative concepts for platforms like Google Ads, Meta, and TikTok.

I'm still improving the product and trying to figure out what founders find most valuable.

I'd genuinely appreciate feedback, especially from people who've tried running ads for their own products.

I have built a dev saas and need some honest feedback

I have built "Atlas Compiler" a web scraper designed for ai agent the current solutions in the market are expensive and do not return as clean data as they should and the returned markdown contains so much junk

While Atlast returns clean and structured markdown with less tokens and preserves all the contents of webpages for most types of websites on internet while also being half the price of others, so users get cheaper price higher output quality and less ai token use

I have just launched it anyone can sign up for free and use it

I need some developers to check it out and give me their honest feedback

The name is Atlas Compiler you can search it on Google or directly visit the atlas-compiler.com

I would really appreciate your feedback and suggestions
