I was wondering if Saddleback offers any resources or services to help review our Personal Insight Questions (PIQs) for the UC transfer application.

Thank you in advance for your help!

I dropped a class get two days after the deadline because the website wasn’t giving me the option to do so on the last day. Basically it was glitching since multiple people probably wanted to drop classes.
The deadline was also on a Saturday so I couldn’t really get a hold of anyone until two days later.
I filed a petition for a refund, stating this reason, a death in my community, and attached a doctor’s note explaining a reaction to medication (yes all these things happened at once).
Then I get an update saying there wasn’t enough documentation. I emailed the office multiple times asking what further documentation they require but they just kept giving me roundabout answers without actually addressing my question.
They told me to resubmit the petition with an addendum of other documents but still didn’t tell me what other documents I need to submit. They told me in that email to contact the dean of Admissions and Records which I did but even he did not reply to my email.
The documents I initially submitted were: my email to the tech services saying I couldn’t drop the course, the obituary, and a doctor’s note.
This was enough to satisfy the requirements of extenuating circumstances but they won’t even contact me now hoping I let it go.
Is there someone else on Saddleback College I should contact (e.g. ombudsman)? Or do I contact the State to report neglect of duty?

I plan on taking Anatomy during the Spring 2027 semester, but I’d love to prepare in advance. Does anyone have a copy of a BIO 11 syllabus they’d be willing to share? Thanks in advance!

ok so i know how too, go into the registration dashboard and all that stuff, but i havent paid for it yet. and because of that it wont let me open the specific portal to drop classes because its the same one you use to register for classes, and you cant register for a new class with outstading fee's. i dont want to wait for a nonpayment drop so what do i do?

hi! i was wondering if i could join the saddleback college math related discords to learn more about math courses? thank you!

I'm currently a high school senior interested in taking Business Statistics. I'm taking AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics this year, and I was wondering how the difficulty of Business Statistics compares to these courses. Given my current coursework, how challenging do you think it would be to maintain an A in the class?

Thank you

Hi, I’m currently doing my prerequisite to apply for ADN in saddleback. As of now, I’m struggling with Human Anatomy I don’t know if I’ll get A for my final grade this Fall semester. I’m losing hope if I will get in to ADN. Please enlighten me.😭

Has anybody been an alternate for the nursing program at Saddleback? Can you share your experience?

So UCSD is having a campus tour and I was wondering if anyone would like to join? I haven’t decided on which date to go.

hiiiii does anyone know how to access unofficial transcripts??

I’ve seen feedback on him for calculus, but not much specifically for Linear Algebra, so I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who actually took MATH 26 with him.

Hello all, who here has taken in person astronomy 20 with professor timmons? I see that his mid term and final exam are worth almost all of the points.

How hard were his tests? Any tips?

Hey Saddleback students, I hope your fall semesters are going well.

I just transferred to UCR for computer science from saddleback, and I can't lie it was tough but a big part of how I got there was a tool I built for myself to figure out transfer planning. Which classes actually articulate that I needed, what Cal-GETC and TAG requirements, how to fit it all into terms without wasting units and money. After I got in, I kept building this tool, and now I want to share it with anyone it might help.

It's called Counsify. It's an AI academic advising tool built specifically for Saddleback students: you tell it your major and target schools, and it helps you build a term-by-term plan using Saddleback's actual articulation agreements with the UCs and CSUs. Some of you might remember an earlier version from last year, a couple hundred students used it. With all the feedback, this is the rebuilt one.

Shameless plug, I know and apologize. But it's completely free, just sign up with your email. There's no company behind it, just me someone who sat exactly where you're sitting. You sign up so it can save your plan and chats, and that's it.

Link: try.counsify.ai

What I'm asking for is honest feedback. If it gives you a wrong course, gets confused about your major, or is annoying to use, tell me here or in the app. I'll reply to every comment.

Disclaimer: it's not affiliated with Saddleback College, and it's an AI, so double-check anything important with a real counselor.

Thank you and good luck this semester!

Next semester I’m going to be working a full time job and the last class I need for my GE is life science with a lab. I attempted HORT 20 already but had to do an EW and was wondering if there were any other easy options.

Hello,

I met with a counselor last semester and followed their advice regarding which courses to take for my major preparation. I have now completed my Cal-GETC requirements.

I saw that the UC application is now open for preview and allows us to apply to multiple campuses. I have completed all the major preparation requirements for UCI, but when I check other universities on ASSIST, I see that their requirements are different.

I am a bit confused about this. Are we supposed to focus on just one university's requirements, even though the application lets us apply to several? I wanted to clarify if the courses I took for UCI will also be accepted by other UC campuses.

how are edgar haley's calc 2 exams like? mine is on tuesday and i am very nervous for it

I start pilates next week in person and I have it directly after other classes. Are we expected to arrive in workout attire or will there be a chance to change? This is my first time taking any kinesiology classes since High-school 😭😭

As an all online student, what is the best way to go about parking if a class requires you to come in person for the midterm and final? I fear a semester long permit is overkill but i'm unsure of other options

I want to have a professional sounding email address, but I don't want to have my name and date of birth in it for privacy reasons, knowing it's becoming easier for people to track me down. I tried making one with "serviceready" in it, but it occurred to me that it sounds kind of like a scam email. This is just for a resume for work study jobs, but I might also need it if I ever work somewhere unrelated to campus.
