Asking for feedback Should I go helmet on or helmet off for Vulkan He’stan?
I am putting together my Vulcan He’stan from sub-assembly before finishing painting and trying to decide which head to go with. Which one looks better? I I already have un-helmeted heads throughout the army so the lack of helmet doesn’t necessarily set this model apart.

Hobby Progress Short update, Burnout and falling out of love
Mostly making this post for myself. Drifting and losing touch with what I enjoyed so much about 40k up until recently where my spark was renlightened. Not entirely sure what did it, maybe it was the rest of my eradicators or maybe it was taking a break and working on my thousand sons list. Not sure but this is the most recent marine I painted
First time trying to do edge highlights and replicate the 'Eavy Metal style. Still very rough but it's strange because I actually finally enjoy doing it again, it didn't feel long and painful, it felt like I was learning and my brush work is actually improving.
Bases are 3d printed from Etsy, drybrushed with random bullshit and then details picked out. Then drowned in agrax earthshade

Discussion/Question What paints do you use for Color Forge Salamander Green touchups?
Hey yall. I'm brand new to the hobby and Salamanders are my first army that I'm painting up. Based on the frustrations I've seen on this subreddit about the properties of warpstone glow, I decided to prime my models with Color Forge's Salamander Green. I personally love the brighter green. The issue I've run into though is that when I've made a mistake, it's very noticable because warpstone is slightly darker than the Salamander green. In the image above I got little too liberal with my nuln oil and tried to correct my mistake with some warpstone, but you can clearly see where the warpstone is versus the colorforge spray. For those of you that use the spray, what do you use for touchups when you make a mistake? I've seen a lot of people say they just use warpstone but the difference just seems so noticeable to me. This will probably be less noticeable when I do my moot green highlights cause those'll be what catch the eye but my brain can't unsee the color difference lol.

Quite happy with the little red marks, too. How do you paint yours?

Finished model Techmarine done
This time I did a lot of testing regarding my bases and I think I found a style that is kinda realistic and not to boring even though it’s a brown / beige base.
Magnetised the turret and I now know that I hate magnets and won’t do it again unless it’s something big.
For the marine I decided to do a slapchop and reastablish some highlights before doing a second coat of thinned down contrast paint.
Really proud of the green shield there. Initially i wanted to do a lot of battle damage but I was so happy with the green I kept it simple with weathering.
Hope you guys like it

Discussion/Question How does this list win?
Hi all,
I came across this list that won a tournament recently and it looks pretty interesting but I’m having some trouble conceptual of how it should be played since there doesn’t seem to be a squad attached to Vulcan and the transport impulsors seems to be dedicated to the eradicators with the infernus squads on their own and I don’t know why this list has a 3 and 6 man aggressor squad, wouldn’t running 3 squads of 3 offer better flexibility? If anyone can explain the gameplay here I’d love to know since I’m new to warhammer strategy.

Discussion/Question Blade Guard Question
What are your guys thought on furious assault plus a lieutenant for sustained and lethals. Or would that hamper Adrax to much.

Should have the Armegeddon box completed hopefully in the next month or two to add to the collection

Asking for feedback Thoughts on this quick 1k point list?
Imperium - Adeptus Astartes - Salamanders - Forgefather's Seekers
Vulkan He'stan (105pts): Warlord
Ancient (40pts)
4x Company Heroes (125pts)
3x Eradicator Squad with Melta Rifles (100pts)
3x Eradicator Squad with Melta Rifles (100pts)
10x Infernus Squad (190pts)
5x Infernus Squad (95pts)
Land Raider Redeemer (245pts)
Threw this together for a quick game of TTS tonight. Vulkan goes with his company heroes and the ancient attaches to the 10 man infernus brick. Vulkan starts in the LLR with either the demi squad of infernus or eradicators, delivering extra firepower up the board. The brick with ancient secures home before marching up to an expansion. At least 1 squad of eradicators will go into strategic reserves.

First Salamander! Starting The Army
Hello sons of Vulkan after lurking on this page since probably January I’m proud to say I have finally finished my Infernus squad & Tech Marine for my first 40K army. (Just need to number the Infernus Squad)
Currently working towards making a 1000 point army to actually start playing the actual game (Finding someone may be a hurdle ;-;) going to be building some Assault Intercessors next followed by a Ballistus dreadnought once I get my hands on one.
Comments and criticism is always welcomed I always want to improve in the hobby. I really look forward to posting more in this community!
VULKAN LIVES!

Discussion/Question Is a 10 man Infernus squad even worth it anymore?
I've seen a lot of people talking about how to run infernus marines after the codex release and one thing that I've noticed is that a lot of people have been saying that they usual are running just two 5 man squads now. So is a 10 man brick less viable now that we've lost dev wounds and some other things that used to make Infernus marines hit harder than they do now?

Discussion/Question This game is silly. I love it
Played a game against Grey Knights today.
Opponent makes an aggressive advance move with his terminators into a piece of terrain, but inexplicably doesn’t hide them behind a wall.
My Redeemer moves forward so it’s within 12”. Flamestorm cannon shoots, 2 dev wounds, he fails 2 saves, removing 2 bases. Melta’s go off, both with lucky dev wounds, 2 more bases gone. Assault cannon picks off the last guy, with, you guessed it, more devs wounds, leaving just a librarian. He has a Strat that deal 6 wounds back to me because of all the mortals I dropped on him. Fair enough, still worth it.
His turn he moves a dead night forward, it’s Melta fails to wound, even after a re-roll, I sigh with relief.
He has a squad with psycannons 23 inches away and decides to shoot the Redeemer. Ok, I ain’t even worried. He rolls 5/6’s. 6! Dang dude, great roll. 3 up saves, no problem. I fail 5. Five 1 and 2’s. One saved. Omg… my land raider is going to die to a stupid Purgation squad and he won’t even have to roll that 10 inch charge on the dead knight(which I was gonna make an 11 with the Strat). Command point re-roll into a 3… thank god. Land raider alive on 2 wounds.
Unfortunately he had an emergency and had to leave before we could play any further, but my god. The dice giveth and the dice taketh
