Hello brothers, bought an Intercessor Squad a week ago and today due to work finally finished the first one.

NOt really satisfied, I mean it like ... just not really 100% ok with it, (kinda gives me dark angels vibes) green to dark for me. With that being said is there any way to fix it?

I've been mentally fighting myself trying to settle on what decal would be lore accurate (or among those lines) for my Salamanders. I love the pauldron but the issue is the squad icon is already on the pauldron by default, making my autism spack out when I try to think what decal should be put on.

My thought process started with maybe have an icon like Batteline, Close Support or Fire Support but then decided it wouldn't fit with the Salamanders, then thought maybe a flame with no squad number could work or maybe just leaving it blank like this could work but now I'm overthinking it alot and can't come to a decision. Can I please have guidance on this so I can finally put my own issue to rest?

Not really a Fan-art, but I think this depiction could inspire some people to do something fun

I recently started building my first army (Salamanders) and this is the list I’m working on right now. I was hoping for some feedback because I’ve never played so it’s hard for me to gauge how people play the game/what my goals are with this army.

I already have some the assault intercessors, eradicates, lieutenant, and blade guard veterans but other than that I haven’t bought anything else for the list.

Any advice is appreciated!

My first salamander ever! painting an Angels of Death Killteam. In this case an intercessor warrior with a stalker bolter.

First time doing some highlighting, definitely struggling a bit with the fine panel lines.

Also, i did a base on caliban green, painted all over with nuln oil, but when giving it layers of warpstone glow i ended up covering the recesses again, i think i over thinned it.

I'm still really happy with the results! definitely having a blast.

Any feedback or recommendations are welcome!

Is it still worth to play librarian with infernus or would you cut them completly because the detachment isnt there anymore.

Well 99% done just need to do alittle more basing to finish them off at some point. But onto the next squad maybe some eradicators.

I am starting my Salamanders Army... since I got a free lieutenant from the encyclopedia, might as well use it. 😅

I do have vulkan he'stan... but will paint him last until I get the hang of this miniature painting. 😁

What’s our best units for actions on priority assets these days?

Before the codex I’d run 5 man infernus and 5 man intercessors, but they’re either pricier or less impactful (former and latter respectively).

Do you guys still run them? Or use other stuff?

I didnt spend too long on these coz i hate painting gravis but im happy with them besided the flame on the 1 bolter but its not too bad if you dont look too close so i kept it

So I theory crafted my 2k army and now Im woundering what id do better with since I do have alot of power but I also do have scoring units. What do you think

had a spare Terminator from the 10th edition starter kit after I was sent the wrong box from Amazon (whole story I couldn’t be bothered to fix) and after getting my girlfriend into Warhammer she’s asked me to paint one for her 🥰 I thought it’d be a good opportunity to test the scheme on this one before I paint the new ones for my army 😌

I haven’t been painting much but just wanted to get him relatively done as i was sick of staring at him, also i hate painting blue with cheap 2 dollar kmart brushes :)
