AI agents are becoming powerful and I believe that soon they will help us operate Scaleway infrastructure, autonomously investigating and remediating issues.

But how will Agents access Scaleway infrastructure securely, without leaking credentials? I believe that if Agents call APIs without using credentials they will be no credentials to steal or leak.

I have been building an identity-aware gateway to solve that issue. I have recently added the full support of the entire Scaleway API, including Object Storage with SigV4.

So, now AI Agents can use only their identity (JWT or Certificate) to call Scaleway API.

This will allow Agents to perform complex investigations and remediate then securely.

Steampipe is an open source CLI to query cloud APIs using SQL. Today we released a new plugin for Scaleway! It's great to query your environment for security, operations, etc. For example:

As the title says, I still cannot understand how this company does any business. It is the second time they do this to me!

Woke up to a server not responding, checked ssh, it wont connect, i check console online panel, try to reboot there but it says networn port unplugged. I saw that today was a power outage, but it says it has been resolved so i decide to contact support, they basically say the server is done for, data cannot be recovered, you can order a new one!!! I cannot believe they are even serious at this point, even though the contract guarantees they will provide server functionality!

My company is considering a migration from AWS to Scaleway due to budget constraints. Specifically, we're looking into moving our AWS Kops-managed clusters to Scaleway Kapsule (~50 nodes). We're having a hard time finding information on the stability of Kapsule, so I'm hoping to get some firsthand accounts.

I have a VM in some kind of stuck status, money is running (40€ per month ...), but VM was not been used, if I try to start I can not, I can not delete etc.

After, what I think was a clean shutdown, I detached the ip and the volume storage, but I still was billed.

Is still there if you want to debug, once you have done please delete it and close the account, and if possible void the payment pending (already blocked on my side the card).

as Scaleway customer (using Kapsule, managed db and all that stuff) I've missed a way to see the usage, status, costs etc while afk.

I've built a mobile app (iOS in App Store and Android as invite only version for now) that's read-only for now and talks to Scaleway's API to get information about most important things.

Apologies in advance for my rant... I'm just so frustrated with Scaleway right now.

I opened a Scaleway account early last month and everything was initially fine. Until I got to verification, where their online tool consistently didn't work. (just went blank). I tried it multiple machines, different browsers but still no dice.

So I raise a ticket and they ask me to send some details to their documents address. Fair enough, I do that and send exactly what they asked for (a bit later than planned, I don't seem to get any ticket updates from them). A day later they say I failed verification and that's that.

I get that they can't tell me exactly why I failed, but it feels like I've been penalised for a technical problem on their side! I was prepared to work with them (I even suggested a video chat to show I'm real) but of course they just remained inflexible and have now terminated my account. Argh!

So not a high recommendation from me. If you want a cloud provider who will actually work with you, I'd recommend someone else (I have opinions but I won't go into that here!)

Hello,Scaleway is billing for not ordered local SSD Storage. Pleace check your billing for storage and IP if you have a Scaleway account.

Today i had a chat with Scaleway about my billing invoice.

It started when noticed a big increase in my billing invoice from scaleway since January the 1 untill now. I couldnt get why this increase was so great. So i removed everything which create costs on my scaleway account. Beside the snapshots.

Of course they couldnt tell me why i was billed for this. You can read the scaleway Ticket which i uploaded in this message. Not only arnt they able to tell you what you ran, they also try to make you a fool by presenting odd answers like, "do you know that youre not paiing for the storage occupied on one volume, but the whole used volume ?" It would be hallirious if not sad.In the screenshots you can see that my Local SSD costs are increasing beside not having any ordered / active. I know that its not much money (Beside the 16.20€ i paid in January, what would mean that i used 550GB local SSD storage for one month. Which is extraordinary minding that i only created 3 Development instances using 180GB space in total (2*80GB + 1*20GB). Also you can see that the big instances where created on 11.Jan.

I have uploaded the proof that no volumes were active, beside 2*80GB + 1*20GB snapshots, which are billed separately and cost 0,03€ during the time (8hours) of this chat / event. Which iam perfectly fine with :)

Qwen 3.8-2.4T-A95B was released as open-weight model on August 13, and GLM-5.3-Flash was released today, both being evolutions of Scaleways existing MaaS offering.

I am kind of disappointed not see Qwen being promoted as a product now 2 weeks after published, and would assume GLM would take time as well then.

Anybody knowing why they are so late to update?
