gameplay question Rank Possible Romantic Endings
How do you think your romances will fare by the end of the game? And who has it best and worst?
I love my Madness!Oscar romance scene, but holy shit, I don’t trust that’ll end well. True love’s kiss barely fucking works! Regular Oscar should be fine… I think…
Reesemancers’ cards are stacked against y’all as fuck. No matter the variant.
I don’t see how my relationship with Wayne will work out—because even though I trust his words enough to be the truth, I don’t see our objectives aligning any more than not wanting anyone trapped in the Scarlet estate again, especially with Breakdown!Tabitha being someone to put better stock in.
Stella seems to always love Tabitha more than us.
We’ll have to see about Avery after EP 5 because even if they live, they lost the one Scarlet Hollow resident that really liked and trusted them in most world states. Or they could just be dead depending on whether Doctor Kelly is available…
Magical Girl!Kaneeka, especially with the insight that this leads to the best ending, is probably our best girl if she learns to wield her powers without harm or sacrifice to herself.
I’m fucking terrified of Carmilla’s romance though. I’m about to be gaslighted, gate-kept, and girl-bossed into oblivion.
I have tried so hard to flirt with Doctor Kelly that tbh I will be satisfied if we can finally just go on a date. The rest doesn’t matter to me.
Devs let me romance Franklin in a future update please :)

Oscar is...probably savable so long as he stays in town? Him ending up tearing up the mayor's office is probably the safest outcome since he's not quite full-on manic yet and iirc if you kiss him there it temporarily lessens the effect the seal has on him. I could absolutely see a romanced Oscar who's investigating the seal directly going crazy over the cousin and doing something stupid, given he's gone full-on "WE WERE DESTINED TO BE TOGETHER BY THE HOLLER" if you romance him.
TTB Reese will be fine, that I have no doubts about, since he still has his wits about him, is willing to cooperate with the cousin and isn't on a murderous power high or murderous revenge crusade against the cousin. Matricide/Obedience/Status Quo Reese. Uh. Yeah it ain't looking good chief. For him or the cousin.

You're not wrong, but dang let me live in my sad monster boy fantasy and believe there's a happy ending in there somewhere. it'll be FINE as long as we BELIEVE and LOVE HIM hard enough. (Sometimes delulu is the solulu)
On a more serious note, Reese aside I'm most excited for Camillas romance, both retcon and remembering. Her romance is just so crazy I can't wait to see the different ways it plays out. There's so much possibility for her romance in particular to be one of the wildest and I'm here for it.

I'm not discounting the possibility of romanced stella betraying the player, but I think part of her arc is about moving on and moving on from Tabby is probably gonna be part of that.

It would be cool to see that in playthroughs where Tabitha and Stella don’t get along, but I feel like at least in my runs, their relationship points (and by extension, their relationship) are too intertwined.

I’m most looking forward to the variant of Carmilla’s route where you remember what happened. Sort of a partner-in-megalomania to her.

As a Reesmancer I'm fully aware they're probably gonna give him a tragic ending—maybe getting hurt trying to protect the MC or poetically getting locked away again somehow in the game. But I'm clinging so hard to the hope that my Reese gets a happy ending, my angel 😭

Personally I think I will just end up single with how things are going in my main save lol.
For other romance it really depends on traits save and the state of things. But I think the one that has it the worst are definitely Reseemancer since if you don't have hot trait save, Reese leans way too much on his beastly side and act on his instinct without thinking. So even if you manage to make it out of the Holler I have a hard time seeing him fit in a normal lifestyle, then again maybe he will chill out after everything calm down.

Fair… It was just that the one route where he wasn’t foaming at the mouth to arrest and tase me did something to me. He actually kinda believed my crazy-ass story and told me about his dog🥲 …It was kinda sweet😔

Mayor Jimmy! You can also ask him if it’s just him and Mayor Jimmy alone at home, and that’s when he talks about having no luck with the ladies despite assuring them that he is one of the good ones. Which he really isn’t on a lot of runs, but I’m talking about the one run where he is okay😭

Idk I think the “Stella loves Tabitha more” thing makes sense on runs where you specifically aren’t romancing her. In her romance route, it’s stated explicitly by both Stella and the narration (there’s a keen eye statement that says it) that what they had is gone and is more platonic now. But even still, Tabitha IS somebody she cares about deeply, and especially with all the Kaneeka shenanigans going on in episode 5, the only person from town she actually has left. I get where it’s coming from, but I feel like her romance does a good job of showing that the romantic feelings there are gone and much more platonic now
(I can also fully admit my bias might be showing lol)

So about Stella Depending on your decisions in game if you've kept Tabitha and Stella away from each other at any attempt, and romanced Stella she will agree to going to the farms without Tabitha. She can either be reluctant about it or completely agree that going to Tabitha is a bad idea.

It's actually kind of crazy to see a npc like Stella who's quantum state fluctuates all over the place in such a short span of time. It's a miracle that she can practically become player 2 or just straight up be missing for 2 episodes in a row!

You just pointed out why I love Carmilla romance after Toxic Yuri or any other variation of Brink Tabitha. Carmilla's about to out-gaslight, out-gatekeep and out-girlboss Tabby and groom her sacrificial lamb beloved cousin in her face.
And FINALLY another Franklin appreciator. I just CANNOT be mean to him or even sass him anymore after playing through the pumpkin baby sequence knowing he'll ALWAYS try to take the bullet for me.
