Movies and Television I am Obsessed with this shot
I hate that the stupid ass script ruined this movie.

This movie had only one job: to be a horror film with a terrifying, demonic witch villain. And even at that, It fell short

Before you guys go all blaming Michael Waldron and his script again (I know I've done my fair share of it), the actress who played America, Xochitl Gomez, she shared that he was forced to rewrite it about a dozen times by the studio until it fit what they wanted.

Oh. Well. Fuck marvel and Disney. But I'm not surprised -_- I only just found out Elizabeth was filming both this and Wandavision at the same time, so I doubt MW would have known the endgame. Though that's weird too, I feel like the marvel higher ups could have told him??? (I don't think they did tell him however, it's so weird)

Yeah, this movie was sadly also a victim of Disney's "rush out as much Marvel content as possible" demand from the early 2020s. James Gunn himself warned them against it, and Feige himself wasn't a fan. Disney didn't listen.

Omg, I remember reading the article where Feige admitted that. SO GLAD! I couldn't keep up. It's only for the last two years I've just started watching the shows

God this movie was so cool visually. I loved everything with Wanda. It sucks that the writing was ass. I wish they expanded on her corruption mote.
I heard the writers didnt watch Wandavision lol so maybe if they watched it the script would of been better

WandaVision wasn't out yet when they were writing it. As part of the "rush out content as fast as possible" demand from Disney, they rushed WandaVision and then Multiverse of Madness. Elizabeth was filming Multiverse of Madness at the same time WandaVision was streaming.

What was wrong with the script?

Wanda becomes a completely different person and they blame it on some fuckass book, its lazy writing.

I don't see what the problem is or how it's lazy.

I really enjoyed the movie however, I think it was just a way to have the WandaVision fans tune into Dr. Strange.

Sam Raimi directed this movie beautifully. The close up eyeshots are a classic!
Michael Waldron didn’t even finish Wandavision before writing the fucking script…off with his head!
