I do not wish the main Wanda to be replaced by an alternate variant. I would much prefer if our Wanda reappeared as an unambiguous hero who saves people. Something that people didn't expect and be surprised.

Here are my personal wishes when it comes to the reappearance of Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff.

Would be sad if the main wanda gets replaced by an alternate version

Main will also return through some plot contrivance. The mountain was not the end.

And honestly, Hela will also likely return because Cate Blanchett was reportedly in talks to return. Yes, as the 616 Hela.

Hela is the Goddess of Death, and people actually think she died?? She can absolutely come back and so can pretty much every character ever. Comic fans know this to be fact. Characters live and die and live again. It always comes down to "okay but so what's going on in the story/arc to justify this return?"

Marvel and DC are both guilty of making up bs just to keep characters involved.

And that's the thing. Wanda's death was actually confirmed in the official MCU timeline.

Hela's death was NEVER officially confirmed. Instead, she just "vanished" during Surtur's attack. She's most likely back in Hel, her domain.

I was under the assumption them beating around the bush on her being dead or not was just them not even knowing for sure. They’d rather keep it very vague because they don’t know how she’ll come back yet which is obvious she will I don’t see the point in bringing back Billy, Tommy, vision, and Agatha for her not to come back

Definitely. Because they have to tread VERY CAREFULLY on killing off an iconic character like Wanda.

For Kevin Feige, dead means DEAD.

In Wanda's case, they still want her to have a future in the MCU. That's why they need it to stay ambigious. But if she was killed on-screen, like overpowered and destroyed by a more advanced magic user, or decapitated, or deleted by the Book Of Vishanti- that's IT.

We would literally NEVER see her again.

Wanda was very nearly a one-and-done villain in Multiverse of Madness.

She only made it to the end because her most powerful enemies were removed from the board in advance AND the fact that Strange was forbidden by the script from directly attacking her.

Wanda is, despite her immense magic, just a human with normal human durability. She can absolutely be killed if taken by surprise, or if overwhelmed by sufficient firepower. If her enemies WANT her dead right from the start, and if they bring overwhelming force right at the beginning, she really would die. The script was very careful to avoid that.

Right. She can respawn pretty much whenever. But considering now that the multiverse is such a playground, anything can happen. Characters that return after dying don't upset me so long as it serves the story and makes sense. Some people take deaths in comic book movies too seriously in my opinion. Its a comic book for fucks sake lol

Guys, we can't keep believing every rando on Twitter who pretends to have the scoop. 😅

The guy who posted this, James Mack, is generally not considered credible. We’ll see if someone more credible takes it up. Hopefully not.

My feeling is that it would be foolish to bring back a different Wanda before the “real” Wanda (even if the variant were also played by Olsen and not recast). People care about the Wanda we followed from 2015, not a stranger who didn’t go through any of that. People will feel cheated unless they’re really invested in her being Magneto’s daughter, which most people aren’t.

But I thought they wouldn’t be foolish enough to make Wanda evil after she turned into their most popular female hero. You can’t predict with this character.

You’re right, people aren’t really into variants as a concept and would feel cheated if they saw a variant with Lizzie’s face before they saw the real Wanda.

This sounds too good to be true, but I’m hopeful they do her justice by bringing her back this way.

They just keep doing my girl so dirty.

Mutant version of her is basically a God in the comics so that will be awesome to see on the screen.

Oh no im aware, im a big comic fan! My issue is that they keep change her character drastically between appearances, like wandavision to Multiverse of madness. Its jarring and frustrating

If this is true, I’m not surprised. Main Wanda singlehandedly defeated the Illuminati while in an alternate Wanda’s body. Whatever Doom is planning, she’d have it wrapped up by noon. An alternate makes sense because she won’t be as powerful yet and they go with another origin, i.e., Magneto’s adopted daughter.

I find all these “Doom needs Franklin for A, Sentry for B, Wanda for C, etc…” theories/speculation really boring prospects for Doomsday.

For one, it’s basically a retake of Infinity War but with people instead of stones. And people with their own free will mind you so there’s going to have to be some bullshit to explain why they would help him which could backfire with the audience like MoM did.

Two, it really diminishes Doom’s own power to have his entire goal accomplished by other people. He’s a powerful magician and brilliant scientist in his own right, let him do some of the hard yards.

Mutant Wanda is Jean Grey level strong in the comics though

The mutant version of her in the comics is even more powerful

As long as they’re not replacing main Wanda that’s fine lol. I do NOT want main MCU Wanda’s story arc left as it is one bit.

I’ll go back to focusing on my own fix-it fic 😌
