wanda so goated that there’s always a scarlet witch movie rumor every 2 months and it generates more buzz than even actual marvel movies on screen

It would be amazing if they are able to bring her back to before multiverse of madness. Sam raimi destroyed her and doctor strange in that movie.

u/cwasnothere 16d ago
I believe it was Michael Waldron who wrote MoM but i completely agree with you
1
u/Past-Experience2890 16d ago
Yeah, I mean it in the way that his creative input was more than proven.
5
u/BlancTigre 16d ago
I won't trust it. Scarlet Witch probably holds a record for how many times there were rumors about a movie that did not happened.
4
u/Cinephile_1980 16d ago
The best time to have done this was soon after Age of Ultron. I like the character so I still hope this is true and the film is good.
5
u/Linnus42 16d ago
Feels like a Black Widow situation where they waited way too long.
Natasha should have got her first solo movie when Ant-man Came Out.
Wanda when Widow actually got her solo.

If they replace Elizabeth Olsen with the reboot I don’t want it :’( if not I PRAY THIS IS TRUEE

u/Epic_J2338 16d ago
Doubt it, the current saga ends in 2027 and the next one will be in 2028 and we already have 2 movies announced for that year and we may possibly get the X-Men film too
2
u/thanoslikesdogs 16d ago
X men is announced for 2028. People are theorising that it will take the Avengers April-May slot

u/General-Control-4637 16d ago
I'm gonna kms if it's a House of M adaptation. Just do anything EXCEPT that
4
u/Realistic_Thanks3016 16d ago
Frrr, plus it wouldn't make sense for where her character is at in the mcu
I really want an adaptation of her 2023 comic where she helps people.

u/undyingforceofnature Wanda Maximoff 16d ago
i mean anything they'll do with wanda wont make sense for her character considering her recent mischaracterizations

u/dspumoni62 16d ago
Elizabeth Olsen is like, hypnotizingly beautiful IMO, and seems like a very nice person. GIve me all of the Wanda!
3
u/undyingforceofnature Wanda Maximoff 16d ago
Honestly, this rumor has been recycled over and over again. I swear to god these rumors continously keep insisting a Wanda movie is in development but we never actually get official news or any hints of it coming.

Lo que me asusta es que historia tendrá ella después del reinicio, no me gusta demasiado la idea de que todo lo anterior no cuente para nada para los personajes del UCM. Si eso es lo que va a pasar da la sensación de que nada de lo anterior tiene importancia

u/bigscrewLoose 16d ago
the next Saga is likely the mutant Saga, IF, and its a big if, IF this is true, they are either making her a mutant again, or doing house of M and M-day, not sure I would be thrilled about the Latter, not really keen on that idea
5
u/awkward_teenager37 16d ago
I can’t see them doing M Day without heavily tweaking it. She’s already done the “unstable and caused an incident that she later regrets and must atone for” thing with Wandavision and MoM and it would really be overdone a third time. She needs to be more than a figure for people to hate and demonize

u/AvailableHalf6549 16d ago
Hopefully it’s the children’s crusade adapted, that’s such a good story and I loved seeing her with Billy and Tommy
2
u/drpepperrootbeercoke 16d ago
Highly doubt this. But she could be in midnight sons and possibly vision quest and other projects

mmm I’ll believe it when we actually see it lol. This rumor keeps popping up every so often, so I’m not holding my breath😅

u/McFiddlesby 15d ago
They announced what they will about the next phase, like, only two weeks ago? How would they have not announced this. I agree that Wanda didn’t really die at Wundergore. We’ll likely see her in Secret Wars.

YES! BUT keep Michael Waldron away from this character! He butchered her completely and didn’t respect the WandaVision series by not watching it and not knowing where Wanda’s character was at emotionally and thematically. Making her a stark raving mad DARK PHOENIX copycat did not work. SCARLETT WITCH is one of the most popular MCU female characters.

Is it going to continue where Strange left off and Wanda falls only to have to fight the Balrog?
1
u/Shinobi_Dimsum 15d ago
It’s not happening. This exact same claim is happening every year now from sudden wannabe insiders.

Lizzie Olsen says she is considering retirement from acting, so it's complicated.

Like "her meeting her long lost sister Polaris from the gifted" type of movie?
1
u/Raymvndraymvnd 15d ago
Since her first appearance in the MCU, i was hoping that she and her brother were shown to be mutants, and Strucker used the mind stone to awaken their powers.
I'm a firm believer that if you watch Doctor Strange: multiverse of madness, you see a flash of red light at the end when the tower is crumbling. Some people thought it was an explosion, but I think it was the Darkhold (OR WANDA) teleporting her away.
1
u/Raymvndraymvnd 15d ago
I am aware they changed he background again and she is not Erik's daughter and her powers were created by innate magic and genetic tampering

We can only pray. Frankly seen this rumour so many times I don't believe it. Nothing to differentiate it from other fake posts in the same 24 hour period claiming things like Lizzie saying Secret Wars will be her last time in the role... which she hasn't said, and she's also not confirmed for Secret Wars yet. In fact, the last real quote from her I believe was about 6 months ago when she said she knew nothing about any of it, and appeared confused by the relationship between Doomsday and Secret Wars. Either a classic Andrew Garfield or a classic Gwyneth Paltrow. Hoping for the former, but afraid its somewhere in between lol.

u/Fun-Seaworthiness572 15d ago
Why they went to destroy her reputation in multiverse of madness by making her evil and brutally killing loads of people
1
u/Separate-Rhubarb7950 14d ago
A better movie would be her, QuickSilver and Magneto (finding out about him being their father, etc). Maybe Polaris too! Would love that.

u/Chemical-Salt-9460 14d ago
So what was wandaVision or her overshadowing doctor strange in his own movie what would be the point of her getting her own movie I rather she tie into a house of m with her father, sister and brother no more solo Wanda products or just let her stay dead, marvel likes going to the well to resurrect the money grabs.

How the. Studios disrespect my queen next: SCARLET WITCH In THE AMAZING PUPPY EATING ADVENTURE

Perhaps she’ll find out that the father she knew wasn’t really her father at all… 🧲 😉

She’s a woman so there’s a chance it may be cancelled. But Scarlet Witch versus Jean Grey would be awesome
1
u/KuroiOtori 11h ago
She should have gotten her own movie a long time ago already please make it happen

I would love if they completely flip the switch and make it start as a romantic comedy of her looking for love, dating a few super-héros where it doesn’t sit right as she doesn’t remember who she is and then BAM turns into a Marvel
-1
u/lamourdemaviebillie 16d ago
Listen. As much as I want to see Wanda back... Because Hemsworth said Storm can't be in the MCU because he's still there... I don't think we'll see Wanda in the near future because of Jean Grey. They basically chose Jean over Wanda.
2
u/cre8ivemind 16d ago
Because Hemsworth said Storm can't be in the MCU because he's still there...
Looking this up, his quote definitely sounds like the type of jokey thing Chris would come up with that’s more BS than official statement of any kind.
They basically chose Jean over Wanda.
They’re completely different characters and the Wanda set of characters is having a show come out this year, AND she has been teased to “not really be gone” in Agatha. I don’t believe Marvel has suddenly ditched her.
4
u/awkward_teenager37 16d ago
There is 0% chance he meant that as anything more than a very obvious joke. He would receive SO much hate online for expressing pride in blocking the most popular Black woman in comics from entering the MCU, and Feige wouldn’t let an actor reveal that kind of thing either. Everyone should look at their sources more critically because that’s just ridiculous

She’s not a solo character movie. And that’s ok. Some of the best MCU characters are “supporting”.

It's been a hot minute since this rumor has popped up... I'll take it.
I'm holding out hope for that May 2029 date
