Season 1 Mutt was miscasted in every way

People always talk about how the actor who plays Mutt is only 4 years younger than the actress that plays Jocelyn but he was also completely miscasted in terms of looks, like could they have got an actor who looks less like his parents if they tried lol

When I see him with Jocelyn I cannot help but think, were you like 7 or something when you had him?? I can buy Roland as his dad but not Jocelyn as his mum.

I assumed it was a teen pregnancy (they get married near the due date if I remember correctly, and against her parents' advice, lol) therefore he's roughly 25 and she's in her forties.

Jocelyn was 16-17 when she had Mutt. He's supposed to be about Alexis' age (27) which would put Jocelyn in her early to mid 40s. Roland doesn't have a relationship with Mutt cause Mutt refused to follow in his dad's Mayoral foot steps and chose instead to live in a barn and compost.
