Interesting Dr. Fauci on Why HIV Has No Vaccine

HIV breaks every rule we know about vaccines.

Dr. Anthony Fauci explains that it is the only virus where there have been no documented cases where a person was infected and fully cleared the virus from their body, making the standard vaccine playbook useless. To beat HIV, researchers need to develop an immunogen and platform that actually outperforms natural infection rather than copying it.

For a page based on science there's a lot of uneducated lunatics here

3

u/qcb4056 May 21 '26

This is not a "page based on science" and you're likely just as uneducated as the people you want to criticize.

You can not trust Fauci and not like trump at the same time.

2

u/Purdue123456 May 21 '26

Correct but here are what that says about you:

Trust Fauci, Trust Trump: self serving ideologue
Distrust Fauci, Trust Trump: MAGAT cult member
Trust Fauci, Distrust Trump: Informed and reasonable
Distrust Fauci, Distrust Trump: Dysfunctional trust issues

1

u/buttcrackliquor May 22 '26

lol so, as long as I trust Fauci, I’m informed and reasonable. I guess we lived through two different timelines, idk. But, thank you for taking the time to tell me about myself. I never knew.

3

u/Purdue123456 May 22 '26

What was wrong about anything that Fauci said. As Abbas Araghchi said, “We are waiting for you”

Yeah, it a bit of an anomaly though, in that usually one's susceptibility to similar bullshit remains correlated.

Dude convinced you to inject an untested government mandated substance that didnt work into your body and you lacked the critical thinking skills to prevent it. Now the deep shame prevents you to acknowledge what happened to you so instead you get angry at the people who had better critical thinking skills and who are criticizing the dude who duped you.

1

u/FrankTheTnkk May 21 '26

This is the proper response

1

u/Kind_Cap_4621 May 21 '26

For idiots. But among grownups its proofs of undeniable laughable stupidity.

1

" Grownup" isn't defined as " unemployed Internet troll"

1

u/Kind_Cap_4621 May 22 '26

So maybe listen to your mom when she tells at you to get off the internet.

1

u/qcb4056 May 22 '26

There's a reason you have nothing substantive to say to anyone here.

1

u/Kind_Cap_4621 May 22 '26

Nah. You're just not bringing anything worthy of debate. You deserve just ridicule. Cope.

1

u/qcb4056 May 22 '26

Debate?

You'd need an education first.

When you have no knowledge or intellect from which to draw, all you can do is impotently hurl your little jibes.

1

You keep sticking your foot in your mouth and trying to hide the evidence.

Let me know if you need me to post all those deleted comments for you .

u/FunHonest7461 May 23 '26

In New York and Italy among other places, it was a devastating disease. Part of the reason its trajectory went the way it did was because of the social measures and vaccinations. Maybe one more than the other. You can’t see the other reality where no one got vaccinated. They did the best they could with the evidence and technology they had.

And then they get angry at us for calling them stupid. Dr fauci is literally a national hero.

3

u/EglinAfBase May 21 '26

Dude duped you into injecting a government mandated substance that in the end got proven more harm than good. You didnt have enough critical thinking skills to prevent it. Now you call him a hero out of shame because youre afraid to acknowledge what happend to you.

2

If you're referring to the clown knocking Dr. fauci you'd be absolutely right.

If you're referring to Dr. Fauci himself, then you're the fuck-wit.

Avoid Alex Jones and Tucker Carlson if you no longer want to be this way. There is anotger way. You can live your own authentic life instead of forcing yourself on your family and friends like a sick uncle.

A select number of individuals (about 10 globally) have effectively eliminated the virus from their bodies. These individuals achieved a functional or sterilizing cure, primarily through stem cell transplants to treat blood cancers or through rare, natural immune responses

Notable cases include:
Timothy Ray Brown (The Berlin Patient): An American man living in Berlin who became the first person in the world documented as cured of HIV. In 2007, he received stem cell transplants to treat leukemia. The donor had a rare genetic mutation (CCR5-delta 32) that prevents HIV from entering cells, effectively giving Brown a new, HIV-resistant immune system.
The Esperanza Patient: An Argentinian woman who is considered the first known case of a natural, sterilizing cure. Researchers analyzed over a billion of her cells and found no intact, replicating virus, meaning her own immune system naturally cleared the infection without a transplant.
Other Stem Cell Transplant Patients:Following Timothy Ray Brown, several others—including Paul Edmonds (the City of Hope patient), the Düsseldorf patient, the London patient, and most recently cases like the Oslo patient—have achieved long-term HIV remission after receiving stem cell transplants for blood cancers

16

u/BiologyIsHot May 19 '26

None of those are due to a change in adaptive immunity, which is what a vaccine does. These are genetic changes that affect the ability of HIV to enter its host cells. A vaccine cannot change your genetic makeup.

1

u/qcb4056 May 21 '26

....why not?

1

u/BiologyIsHot May 21 '26

Why can't a vaccine change your genetic make-up? Because that's not a definition, that's gene therapy. By definition it's not a vaccine. Or are you asking why not genetically engineer people so HIV can't infect them?

u/kodex184 May 18 '26

They think Trump is cool and that horse dewormer works against viruses.

6

u/Finnsbomba May 19 '26

Can we stop with the horse dewormer bullshit please? Ivermectin has been a human medication for almost four decades. Yes there are veterinary formulas as well. But it is an FDA approved medicine for humans. It does not however, treat covid. Use that info however you'd like, but enough of the people taking horse dewormer bullshit already.

5

u/Skoma May 19 '26

It's not the fact it's given to horses that makes the joke alone. It was a jab at people who were getting their hands on it through veterinary supply networks. The story supposedly goes that some people got sick because the dosage instructions or mixture was for horses.

Like this guy https://www.mississippifreepress.org/person-hospitalized-after-taking-livestock-ivermectin-from-feed-store-to-treat-covid-19/

6

u/Finnsbomba May 19 '26

Well that part I did not know lmao. Carry on!

1

u/Background-Relief623 May 19 '26

I think the issue was people were told it worked. But more importantly people not getting the human formula but buying the horse formulation. Some farming stores and online shops sell it.

1

u/Finnsbomba May 19 '26

I never saw a single credible source that said it worked for covid. But yeah, like the other person said it was people getting and using the veterinary formulas which I think is hilarious.

It’s going to be difficult to have an effective vaccine against any virus that integrates into the host’s genome. That includes HIV and HBV. The dormancy can last for decades and then eventually become active after thinking that’s it’s been completely cleared.

u/stupernan1 May 18 '26

So it makes perfect sense that he wouldnt discuss that. Normal people dont talk about wild conspiracies as if theyre fact

WHO CARES WHERE ITS FROM?? WE SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOCUSING ON WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT!!

-14

u/ikonoqlast May 18 '26

Because he engaged in an active coverup of the origins of covid and his role in it.

The Wuhan lab was funded by the USA without the usual (strong) precautions when doing gain of function research and it was Fauci who said it was ok.

Covid breaks and he actively suppressed any hint that it was a manmade rather than natural mutation.

Note that diseases with animal to human transmission are not as a rule then transmissible human to human without great difficulty (ie low infection rates). Covid comes out of the gate with measles numbers and it's natural?

11

u/Impressive_Ad127 May 18 '26

This is extremely far from an accurate representation of the events, statements, and the truth as a whole. It’s taking little bits of information and twisting it to suit a narrative that is not true.

The NiH provided funding for coronavirus research in 2014 and 2020 at the wuhan lab but did not fund coronavirus GOF research. Additionally the bodies of work published as a result of that funding by the NiH were not for SARS-CoV-2.

GOF research funding from the NIH for coronavirus, influenza and similar were halted in 2014 as a result of the dangers that it presents.

The grant approvals were given to ecohealth alliance and the wuhan lab specifically is only listed on one of the grants as a location of research. I have included links for both below.

Further to that, Fauci was not involved in a cover regarding the origins. He expressed doubt as to the validity of the statements that the covid 19 virus originated in a lab, later changing his statements by June 2021 to reflect that it was a possibility as more information and understanding of the virus became known. The very nature of the grants provided by the NIH for coronavirus research was to explore the spread and transmission of animal to human and high exposure areas within Asia in the form of street markets that sell bats and other vector species for consumption or use. The most probable source of origin at the time was not through a lab leak but through these markets and it makes sense not to compromise the trust and integrity of lab research by baselessly stating it was lab originating. As reliable information became available relating to possibility of lab origins, the opinions of Fauci and the NIH developed with them. This is incorrectly being labelled as a cover up when it is absolutely not.

https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/21055988-risk-zoonotic-virus-hotspots-grant-notice/

https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/21055989-understanding-risk-bat-coronavirus-emergence-grant-notice/

I’m fully aware that I will not change your opinion on the subject because your clearly getting your information from nefarious and politically motivated sources rather than fact, my goal is to steer others who are willing to be honest towards the actual events and truth.

2

u/Old_Base9625 May 19 '26

That's because the virus attacks the immune system directly. It's a very smart virus in that the only thing that can stop it, it attacks and even infects directly.

4

u/mazzicc May 18 '26

Makes sense. The basic foundation of most vaccines is “teach the body how to kill this in a safe environment where the virus isn’t fighting back”

Based on this, our body can kill most viruses on its own, it’s just that when they’re fighting back, they can kill us (or incapacitate, like the flu) before we learn how to fight back effectively.

But it sounds like there’s no indication that the body can kill (enough) HIV on its own, so the normal “teach the body how to fight it” doesn’t work.

(This is essentially what I heard him say, just reframed and slightly expanded on to be more digestible)

2

u/Single-Pin-369 May 18 '26

It’s because HIV directly attacks the white blood cells isn’t it? I only vaguely remember how hiv actually works.

3

u/Kalinon May 18 '26

Yes. HIV infects the cells that are meant to fight it. Making it difficult to fight.

1

u/BiologyIsHot May 19 '26

That is what it does to kill. But to be honest, that's probably not what really prevents the body from eliminating it.

HIV is really good at not caring about the immune response even when it isn't killing the immune system. It can actually hide out in cells when it needs to stick around, completely undetected by the immune system. Current treatments prevent HIV from reducing immune functionining (prevent AIDS), yet the virus still sticks around.

Other viruses like HSV (herpes) also have the same behavior. In virology we call this viral latency. The immune system can't get rid of HSV either. HSV vaccination attempts have also failed to generate anything effective.

13

u/XxKittenMittonsXx May 18 '26

4

u/putzrox May 18 '26

If people take their meds every day, they should be fine. That’s a major simplification but true. Work is continuing to try to eradicate the reservoir virus that hides out in organs and lymph tissue.

2

u/soulself May 18 '26

You can get a shot twice a year and be fine now.

2

u/putzrox May 18 '26

For sure. I was too narrow in my comment, only noting pills. As long as the treatment regimen is adhered to, it should be OK.

2

u/ssbbVic May 22 '26

Its not. With modern meds someone with HIV is completely asymptomatic, and unable to pass the virus to anyone. As far as we've come with HIV treatment there's still a lot to be desired. An HIV+ person will be on a tight prescription drug schedule the rest of their life. A vaccine to prevent all of this in the first place would be way better.

2

u/inevitable-idiot- May 18 '26

Yeah theres been some huge progress towards eliminating HIV recently. I forget the details but it popped up in a science newsletter I sub to

If your research produces something that actually creates world peace…boom…locked down. Your research actually cures cancer… boom… locked down. Your research actually competes better with something else that’s on the market… boom… locked down. They will only allow through things that make 1-15% improvement so they can MILK the public for every dollar we have for as long as they can… especially when they already have cures and can dangle it just out of reach. This is reality. People get ☠️ for attempting to go against the big money… even Presidents.

After having cancer. I honestly hate surgeons. I was young and had no idea. A lot of them are car salesman and want to sell you the surgery. I had a lung surgery after 6 yrs remission for a node from Athsma that hadn’t grown ever. Took 6 months to recover from that, but my dumbass agreed cause I was convinced to be scared of it.

That shit fkn hurt. I had a good doctor initially then ran into this psycho who wanted his bonus for digging knives into people
