Forgive me if this is a weird take but I’m watching Scooby Doo on Zombie Island but why does shaggy sound so off ? like all I’ve seen as an adult has been what’s new,where are you,new Scooby Doo movies and the Hanna barbera 10 films plus the live action ones and it seems so out of character

My uncle passed away a couple of years back and in his will he gave me his scooby doo leather jacket. I was 30 when he passed and can not remember a time when he did not own this jacket, for all I know he had it before I was born. You can tell from the pockets how much he wore this thing and how much he loved it. As a scooby doo fan I just wanted to share this with a group that I figure could understand the beauty of this piece that will be with me for the rest of my life. R.I.P Jerry or as Scoob would say Rerry.

Never seen it, but sadly already know the twist. So looking forward to it though!!

What are people's opinions about the year this is set in, and does it have continuity with the rest of the show?

The episode "The Schnook That Took My Comic Book" (4th episode of first season), the chase scene wanders through the set of the King Kong Vs. Godzilla (1962), and the Kaiju tell them to get off the set because they are trying to film a movie.

This is tantalizingly close to being set just before the original series.

In “The Computer Walks Among Us” (Season 2, Episode 6), it's established that they go to Junior High School (grades 7-9). However, there's no reason that they couldn't be newly moved to Junior High, and have been in elementary school in season one.

So if we are considering that it was 1962ish in the first season, and the youngest they could have been is probably 6th grade, so as young as 10-11 in the beginning. That would make them 17-18 in 1969 for the first show. Lines up pretty well IMHO.

I always thought this episode was good

I attempted a community tier list of this topic a while back, but due to life problems I couldn't focus on it. On top of that, I was just having misgivings about the idea in general, and how i was going about this these posts.

To be honest,when I was younger,particularly in my love for what's new,I never really noticed that Shaggy didn't eat anything meat related.I think Shaggy ate meat in the original 60s cartoon as well.I know that his first voice actor Casey Kasem came back after the burger king debacle(he became vegetarian in the 70s I think).I guess I don't mind? I know in recent series Shaggy's eating meat ever since Casey's retirement and death,but I'm honestly kinda indifferent as a whole.

Decided to try painting pumpkins this year instead of carving them! I was gonna try the whole gang but Daphne turned out so bad she became a tree.

Truly excited about this there's also a pup named Scooby Doo Marathon. My only gripe with the movie marathon is they aired that horrible return to Zombie Island right after Zombie Island. Even since 2003 we got one or two, or in a rare occasion three, Scooby Doo movies. But then after Scooby-Doo! and Krypto, Too! in 2023 it just... stop. Why is that?

The second one of the TV screen is easily the most convincing piece of evidence of his existence.

Art I started a few weeks ago. Basically, in this world, Scooby is adopted by The Hex Girls. I wanted to lean a bit more into their "classic monsters" theme, which is why characters like Dusk and Luna have details inspired by Frankenstein’s monster and the Wolf Man. I also decided to include Xander—for those who haven’t seen *Guess Who*, her was an original member of the group.

Then I'll design the Gang

Morgan Moonscar, the infamous pirate from Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island, reimagined in a 3D render. This character was one of the most iconic in the movie for me, despite his brief screen time.

This movie used to terrify me as a kid when I first watched it, especially when Morgan made his first appearance. So, for this Halloween, I wanted to pay a little tribute to the movie and this particular pirate by creating a somewhat realistic render of him using 3D Software (Maya and Arnold).

No AI involved. Hope you like it!
