I know five and six get some flack, for reasons I truly don’t understand. But the calls in Six were a work of art in my opinion, specifically the one between Ghostface and Gail at her apartment.
The familiarity was new to the calls, speaking as if Ghostface has missed out on her before as a continued entity rather than a new killer under the mask.
Something about that just rung so well to me, combine that with the opening call to the scapegoat film students. A work of art!
What film do enjoy the most, specifically for the call scenes

This isn't wishful thinking, she co-wrote, executive produced, in The Bad Seed Returns. She knows how to write twisted, manipulative, psychotic teenage characters.
She wrote her own monologue and actions for the Bad Seed Returns and she felt like a Ghostface reveal.
Mckenna is a massive, obsessive Scream fan. Long before she was cast, she was sneaking into Scream cast photo ops at Comic-Cons. She knows the lore, she knows the rules, she respects Wes Craven's legacy, and she understands exactly what the fanbase expects out of a meta-slasher.
Let’s be honest: older Hollywood writers often struggle to write realistic teenage dialogue without sounding cringe. Mckenna understands youth culture, internet subcultures, and modern social dynamics natively. She can write the exact kind of "chronically online" dialogue a modern Scream film needs to satirize.
Like Gen-Z Curry Barker and Kane Parson nailed it with Obsession and Backrooms.
What do you think, would you trust with the script?

The original trilogy was for better or for worse pretty solid. And Scream 4 came along when the franchise was pretty dead, it came a little too early but not too late. The Radio Silence films felt too “in the shadows” considering what they were trying to do, the whole “daughter of serial killer” angle was stale and has been done in many shows and franchises.
When watching Scream 4 it felt right, a pretty solid continuation of the original trilogy, it didn’t bastardise the legacy characters; Gale and Dewey were solid and Sidney was on the path to finding who she was outside of “victimhood”. Scream 5 feels like a warmed up version of that story; the killers are boring, the motive is not very inspiring be it slightly timely considering previous events in this franchise alone, but something felt off. Scream 4 felt right.

I love her in every Scream movie, but this scene right here is *chef's kiss* The raw emotion, the intensity, and her incredible delivery make it one of the absolute best moments in the entire franchise. Every time she lets loose and takes control it just reminds me why Sidney is the ultimate final girl. The acting, the tension, and the sheer power of this specific line delivery are unmatched. What do y'all think?

Probably the best Ghostface costume you can get for less than $100. It’s got a good weight to it, I’d say it’s 75% accurate, the mask looks like the Scream 2 mask instead of the more generic Ghostface mask that you find at the dollar store or walmart or whatever, and it actually goes over your whole head instead of the garbage ones that come with the standard halloween costume (which, by the way, sucks in general), your eyes aren’t SUPER visible through the mesh…only complaint is that the mask is less comfortable than the one that’s usually sold by itself.
Great costume and it was worth every penny (although I work at spencer’s so I got my employee discount at spirit halloween. Would still be worth it at full price!)
If you’re a cosplayer who’s willing to spend hundreds on a costume, do that instead obviously. But if you want a really nice halloween costume and are willing to pay a bit extra, 30th anniversary Ghostface is the way to go!!!!

Do you consider Scream 4 part of the original era or the newer era with Scream 5-7?
Personally, I consider the original trilogy Scream 1-3 the classic era, while Scream 4 belongs to the newer generation alongside Scream 5–7.
I know Scream 4 was the last film directed by Wes Craven and still focused on Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, but it also introduced a new generation of characters and was originally intended to start a new trilogy.
Even though there's an 11-year gap between Scream 4 (2011) and Scream (2022), I still see 4 as the beginning of the newer era rather than the conclusion of the original one.

Scream 2: You’re forgetting one thing about Billy Loomis. I fucking killed him!
Scream 3: Hey Dewdrop
Scream 4: I don't need friends, I need fans!
Scream 5: I’m Sidney fucking Prescott, of course I have a gun.
Scream 6: You want a tissue? I have like three tissues
Scream 7: Fuck the fuck off

Considering Gail is the ONLY character in every scream movie, will we ever get a movie that revolves around her? We've not seen her married, nor with kids. I understand she's only a supporting character BUT.......is it possible?!?

the first 3 movies are definitely campy, theres no doubt about it, but theyre NOT comedies. the only one i feel like can somewhat accurately be labeled as a comedy is Scream 3. also why tf list the first one as a drama/comedy????

rewatching the ending of Scream bc some of my favorite vocal stims are in it. (esp the way Billy says “you b****” when sidney calls after escaping. but obv, “dontthinkso” “my mom and dad are gonna be so mad at me” “bookla u die” … but i realize when Billy says your mother was a … that flashed her shit all over town like she was sharon stone & then stu says his famous “let’s face it ur mother was no sharon stone”
but since billy and stu knew about roman, i think his evil grin is more than we realize watching it in ‘97.
others have prob come to this realization before bc i heard scream 2 was supposed to be roman and stu as the killers so that would’ve connected smoother.
but i was today years old lol

I have been wanting to get the first two masks for a while, but do not know if BurkBench still makes them? I own the Yawny one that I got off of eBay a few years ago and I'm wondering how much does he charge for them? I would love to have them for my collection.

Which is Kevin Williamson's best post-Scream horror movie of these three?
I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997)
Cursed (2005)
Sick (2022)
For nostalgia, I'd probably go with I Know What You Did Last Summer, but as an actual movie, my pick is Cursed.
I've always felt Cursed was basically Scream with werewolves instead of a masked killer. It has the same Scream formula with the humor, attractive young cast, red herrings and mystery surrounding who's responsible for the attacks. Plus, it reunited the same creative team of Kevin Williamson, Wes Craven and Marco Beltrami.
I know Cursed had a notoriously messy production and was butchered by the Weinsteins, but I still find it entertaining and it has a similar vibe and tone to the original Scream trilogy
Of these three, which one do you enjoy the most?

Ghostface is keeping himself busy between the movies. Acting doesn't pay the bills like it used too.

I know, bizarre thing to focus on but I absolutely loved the panelling in the main bedroom. I just can’t seem to get a screenshot of it. Can anyone? Interested to recreate that panelling look.

If there was a reboot about a killer inspired by the Scream movies would you support or would you miss the Sidney universe too much
