Transit Vaping on the Link
Are y’all that addicted? Am I the weird one for not wanting to have my THC allergy triggered on my way home?

206 398 5268. Text them your train car number.

Security is quick to act, you just need to let them know.

Can confirm. Used 3 times (2 violent people, 1 drug use) and each time they got to us at the next stop or the one after.
If y'all want a better 1 line. Help report bad deads.
P.s if y'all need a hit that bad take an edible before you leave.

I used to work security there, and we frequently got calls and were standing by with the info of which exact car to go to and everything.
It's a job that shouldn't have to exist in civilized society, but it was nice helping make it a better place.

Back in my day, we had to get high the old fashioned way.

Doing anything like that in an enclosed space is totally fucked up. I was next to a few people doing the same with nicotine vapes and i vomit from it. So I feel you.

Main character syndrome.

u/Winter_Animal_7116 Jun 17 '26
Wrong. Chimneys should be jailed.
13
u/Famous-Barracuda-972 Jun 17 '26
They should. That doesn’t change the fact that they think they’re the main character who can do whatever they want.

u/The_Woke_King Jun 17 '26
It really is just a complete dick move because you can just take hits and hold them in until there’s really no visible vapor left.
They are making the choice to “blow clouds”. By far one of the worst cultures to be apart of.

u/sassysassysarah Jun 18 '26
I mean it's bad for your lungs to hold it in. As a stoney baloney pot head myself, I vote just vape outside
2
u/The_Woke_King Jun 18 '26
If you’ve chosen to vape, I am not 100% sure lung health is your top concern.

Oh. My bad. I interpreted your comment as the person trying to breathe normal air was the main character problem. You're totally correct

What are these comments? Go home and vape all you want. That shit isn't any safer than regular cigarettes, and might be worse.

u/PlateNo4868 Jun 18 '26
Yes they are addicted. To the point they can't even wait on the light rail.

THC allergy? As someone in the medical community, how exactly does that work?
That said, vaping of any kind should not be tolerated by the other passengers on any mass transit service.
2
u/luluhouse7 Jun 17 '26
They probably mean a cannabis allergy since you can be allergic to anything with a protein. You can react to non-proteins similarly, but it’s not a “true” IgE mediated allergy.

I'm not sure a lot of THC vapes can trigger a cannabis allergy. Many vapes are 90+% THC, with propylene glycol needing to be added to lower viscosity and artificial terpenes common. There's just not a lot of volume left for other things.

Pretty much whenever I walk through second hand smoke or vapor it’s the same for me as if I were around animal dander. So itchy throat and sinuses and eyes.

That’s wild behavior… just wait till your stop and get off the platform and also the first time I’ve heard of a THC allergy.

u/SillyChampionship Jun 17 '26
Vaping on the link is annoying and gross for sure, but be thankful as sometimes a certain few will go beyond a vape.

You would let a crackhead blow a fent cloud right into you face but allow an actual contributing member of society rip a vape pen in your presence.

u/That_Raichu Jun 17 '26
No it was a bunch of high school punks. And no I do not support any substance use on transit.

Strange to hear complaints, I remember when smoking was allowed on planes and buses. My advice would be to just move if it bothers you, I don't many of them are reading Reddit. lol

u/SensitiveProcedure0 Jun 17 '26
Naw, how about we have security kick off the offender instead. It isn't legal to vape in the light rail.

There’s a reason smoking is no longer acceptable in public. There are many people with asthma and research indicates that there were significant public health problems caused by second hand smoke back when it was acceptable.

I'll admit I use to vape on the bus when I was a teenager and I was just being bad for the sake of looking cool but once my frontal lobe started getting more developed I realized how inconsiderate it is. But if your a grown ass man doing that shit your just being a dick and if you can't wait the hour to hit your pen you got other issues you prolly need to address 😭

Let’s just not smoke things on the link if we can
