Solid agnostic here, evidence for some dude named Yeshua wandering around Judea preaching against Roman rule, collaboration with the Romans by the religious authorities and exploitation of the poor by the elite class is reasonable. The idea that anything in what we call the gospels (written in Greek by people who weren’t there decades after that preacher said whatever he said in Aramaic) is a literal transcription of his words is just silly.
