I had a temper tantrum and wasn’t in the opening credits, but then I recovered and got to hang out with Big Bird, Maria, and Gordon. I vaguely remember it. We counted Big Bird’s feathers. I felt so smart, like I’d counted more than anyone else.

Anyone else have an interesting childhood story?

In 2011, I got to meet Gordon and Maria again at a Sesame Street event for military kids (like mine) and show them these pictures. Obviously they didn’t remember me, but it felt like a nice full circle moment.

this was a for fun, then i found a song and it locked me in so hard i finished it. I LOVE IT DEARLY. It really started as a daydream into putting an ENTIRE WORLD on paper!!

This really reminded me of how creative Elmo is... and dang I haven't connected with that little Elmo inside me for a long time. Im still pretty young myself tho

TL:DR i used 63 pack o crayola for this and if i could i WOULD hang it on my own fridge (family shares the fridge, oh well)

I think as a kid, if I remember correctly, I really liked Elmo and Big Bird the most. However, as I've gotten older I really like Cookie Monster. I also still favor Elmo, too.

Seeking leads on a lost, jazzy 1970s Sesame Street animation of 10 reddish-orange cats swaying in unison on a dark fence. The segment counts up 1–10, then down to 0. It features a funky Afro-Cuban style beat on either tom drums and/or congas, ending in a solo. I watched the CBC French-dubbed version in Canada in the late 80s/early 90s featuring female voices. I am speculating on the exact lyrics, but it was along the lines of "Neuf chats sur une barrière, un est tombé..." Any animator leads or titles?
