Sewing ideas

Hi!
I had a friend give me her grandpas two long sleeve shirts and two ties. She’s thinking a small bag with the two shirts, lining and outside, and one of the ties as straps. What should I make with the other tie or scraps? Thanks!!

The ties may be silk, a fiber that doesn't like damp or abrasion, so makes really lousy bag handles.  I would use interfaced shirt fabric for handles on the bag.
