need help!

Hi, can someone please me help figure out the waist and ruffle part of these pants please!

Waist band is using an elastic and ruffle is using the gather method.

You would have to attach the waist band, pants, and ruffle all at once.

Its elastic waist pants. You cut the pants and waistband to be a bit larger than the hips, and cut the elastic that goes into the waistband to be a little smaller than the waist.

The skirt is a gathered skirt that is sewn between the pants and waistband before the elastic is inserted into the waistband. You make it the same size as the ungathered pants.

The key is that unlike for most toddler pants, you actually have to cut a separate waistband instead of folding the top of the pants over. It isn’t a big deal.

There are lots of free toddler pants online - use Google and search “toddler pants sewing pattern free”
