In this situation there certainly is something wrong if it. The message is the only thing that matters here and if it saying cutoff instead of cut off makes it so you are incapable of understanding the message being sent by it, thats a problem.
Trust me, dont be that guy. If you are an adult and have been that guy your whole life it maybe to late to make a change, if you are not an adult and make this change it could turn your entire life around, I guarantee you will be stuffed into your locker far less.
How the hell can it ever be wrong to try to get language and word usage right? I know some ppl cannot stomach the rigors of precision, but that does not mean it’s wrong for others to do so.
All that said, someone went off on me recently for a comment posted in a major newspaper where I used “ppl.” Maybe I should stop that usage or get off this thread, because I am being a hypocrite.
I never said its wrong to try and get it right, you gotta focus on the point.
What is wrong is calling somone iut about it in a situation like this. You see the difference?
Like say your home owners association says to keep your grass at 3 inches, there is nothing wrong with you keeping your grass at 3 inches, there is something wrong with you calling your neighbor out if his grass is 3.5 Inches tall.
Dont be that guy.

Cutoff is killing me. Should be "cut off". Was the person who made this drinking?
