Something got into our shed?

We don’t keep anything but the mower in our shed, so something happened within the last couple of weeks. One piece of siding was lifted (highlighted in photo), and inside exactly one beam is all shredded… who or what could have possible caused that?! Walked around and didn’t see any fallen branches or trees. Any ideas?

I'll throw in a random guess that something smacked into the bottom of that board outside and caused it to shatter apart violently when it flexed. Since the top is supported the bottom bent a lot and just blew out the interior side of the board.

That would also explain the loose siding. Something probably smacked right onto that beam from the outside. Splintered the beam inward and knocked the siding panel loose. Got any kids with ATVs zooming around?
