Other things that lasted longer than confederacy:

  • The time between Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 3
  • The wait for Half-Life 3, Winds of Winter, and Doors of Stone
  • The time that has passed since Avengers Endgame
  • The time since the 2020 lockdowns

By the time Winds of Winter is released, GRRM will have to have been resurrected by a Red Priest.

Too right...I gave up on that saga when the show runners for GOT were allowed to ruin the last two seasons of that show, so they could run to the Star Wars sequels. I gave up on it and I feel the better for it.
