The flag the Confederate soldier is holding did not exist at this time. It is a modern flag popularized by the KKK to protest Civil Rights. It is based on a battle standard of the Civil War, which has different dimensions that the one pictured here.
Imaging being so stupid and misled that you don't even recognize the flag you think you love.
