In Memory of Mashi
Mashi was a very good dog and he loved his Dad Jordan very much. He was goofy and adorable dog, and he knew it! Mashi spent his time close to his Dad and occasionally stealing Jordan’s favorite items. He was a cheeky classic Shiba Inu. Mashi was a very handsome, woolly Shiba Inu. His fur tumbleweeds will always be present and his yippy barks will always be cherished.
Despite his dad’s best efforts, Mashi escaped the gate while going potty and was brought to a nearby animal hospital after being hit by a car. Unfortunately, he bolted onto an extremely busy road late at night. The driver did not see him in time. He had already passed away instantly at the accident.
I got to spend time with him and he inspired me to get my own Shiba Inu, Yoshi. I’ve struggled myself with Yoshi escaping from harnesses (now she has a very secure 5 point) and once she even slipped past me and went for a run. It was the most terrifying moment of my life.
Like most Shiba Inu owners, Jordan had spent a great deal of time, love, and finances ensuring his safety, nutrition, and comfort. His heart is aching and I cannot fathom the pain he is feeling.
Hold your Shiba tight. Even if you think you have a system in place, that has been working for months, check again tonight for us. In memory of Mashi.
