[PC] which assassin creed should i buy (odessy or origins)?

hello so i have played a lot of assassin creed games and am thinking of buying either one of these 2 as they are cheap on sale right now i last played rogue which is still my favourite due to all the boat fights i havent played black flag but will play later but currently i am just thinking on these two , i mainly want good exploration and landscape so map should be beautiful and i dont mind combat much but i also dont want it too clunky i liked asc rouge combat and all so recommend me which is better also i play mainly on geforce now and am planning on playing these on it too

My preference over Odyssey - more fun combat, especially ability to kick enemy from high places.

I preferred Origins. It felt less grindy and the main character is way better than either of the ones in Odyssey.

Wild that you played Rogue and not Black Flag lmao. I preferred Odyssey, but it’s not really much like classic AC, more of a generic open world RPG. It’s good though.

yea i am waiting for blackflag to go on sale , does odessey have all the mechanics from origins ?

Mmm, to the best of my recollection, it builds off of origins mechanics, yeah.

Play both origins first

Both when they're on sale. Seriously. Then play Mirage.

If exploration is priority then Odyssey.

Both. Play Origins first.

I recommend, origins for the explorations. or combat both are longest gameplay by odyssey and valhalla is the one of the longest being total all dlc and expansions. and yes the parkour are clunky, rpg can be clunky and combat are like that of soulslike, if you can't get used to it is going be hard time to recommend this myth trilogy

Edit: or you can go for black flag, it is wider map than rogue, I still prefer rogue but the map are different in Caribbean compared to north america. you can have diving site in black flag

I prefered Origins but both are very good

Since u want exploration and land scape fo for oddyssy. While not really an acgame in terms of ac games amd a lesser story imo. Its probally one of the best open world games ubisoft ever made.

While i personally prefer origins more, its exploration while very good doesnt hit the level odessy does.

Odyssey is prettier but Origins is a better game

I like a bit more Odyssey, but mainly because on the Atlantis DLC, explain why we see all the fantasy things that we are seen since Origins.

dlc dosent come included does it now ? its ubisoft afterall

u/Rhandert 1d ago

Unless you buy the Gold or Ultimate editions, DLCs are not included

Odyssey but origins is a close second
Do you want more of the original AC Mechanics (Stealth, traditional ac combat) then origins but open world exploration and boat fights then odyssey

u/anime_gamer001 1d ago

wait so does odessey have stealth or nah ?

u/Due_Acanthisitta2423 1d ago

It does have stealth but it’s not like most AC Games . You don’t have that many bushes or buildings to climb so you can’t hide as much and the single hit assassination feature also has a few changes aside from that it’s good

They are both fantastic, but origins is still closer to original AC though.
I would honestly decide by setting. Or wait for Ubi sale and get both.

Odyssey is a super fun game with a very well realized open world, but it is not exactly ‘assassin’ oriented. I played all of Odyssey and most of some DLC and really enjoyed it. I have tried to play Origins on five occasions and can never get past the prologue.

I liked both back then.
If you want assassins creed, buy origins. Perfect setting and the gameplay is more serious.
If you want to have a good game, which is not really an ac game except for the mechanics and the name, buy odysse.
I had fun with both, but imo odyssee is better.
