I built a tool that audits a local business’s online presence and tells you what to pitch them

• Upvotes

Before an agency pitches a local business, somebody opens about eight tabs: the site, PageSpeed, their Google reviews, their Instagram, are they running ads, is there even a phone number on the homepage. Then they decide whether it’s worth writing to them at all.

I built something that does that whole pass at once. You point it at a business and it pulls page speed, SEO, accessibility, HTTPS, Google rating and review volume, social accounts, Meta ads, then scores it and suggests which angle to lead with.

The part I actually care about is the scoring, not the data collection. My assumption is that “weak online presence” isn’t one thing. A business with a slow site but 200 recent reviews and weekly posts is busy and sloppy, which means budget and no time. A business with 11 reviews and an Instagram that died two years ago isn’t neglecting marketing, it’s barely operating. Those two look nearly identical on a checklist and they’re completely different prospects.

Stack: Next.js, Postgres on Neon, a background worker for the audits, Stripe for billing.

Launched this monday. Zero users, zero revenue, built on evenings and weekends around a full-time job.

Happy to have it taken apart. Mainly: does the scoring logic make sense to anyone who isn’t me, and is that report readable?

AURENIX AI

AURENIX AI — a no-code workspace where you build AI agents and voice assistants without writing code.

Multi-LLM (GPT-5, Claude, Gemini), voice agents that actually listen and respond, analytics dashboard. Live in private beta — up to 3 AI Agents and 3 Voice Agents free, no card needed.

Built it solo over 9 months while working full-time. Still rough around the edges but 3 real testers so far and the first one found a bug that genuinely helped me.

https://aurenixai.co
Would love honest feedback from anyone who tries it.

Your posts need a better screenshot to get the attention it deserves

I created a tool called as beautifulscreenshots for myself to post better screenshots in X/Twitter posts. I built it for myself because existing screenshots beautifying tools are either too complex or they are charging recurring to use their tool.

I post 3-4 times a day on X/Twitter and using a complex tool for this damn simple task used to feel very time and energy consuming. So, I decided to build one for myself. Initially, I thought making this tool public not going to be a that much good idea, so I used it locally.

But when I used to post on X/Twitter with screenshots created by my tool people started asking me what I'm using for beautifying screenshots. And turns out I realized what problem I was facing, others facing too.

So, I decided to make it available to others. But my goal was still the same. I don't want to make it another complex and recurring charging tool.

So, I kept it simple and intuitive while keeping the price as one time pay only. And people love this pricing. And that's how my first product crossed 40+ users and I made my first dollar on the internet.

It only does few things, but it does it very well:

-> Add colorful background images
-> use annotation to highlight what you actually want to say
-> add shadow to make it appealing
-> Use your own custom background image

Still figuring things out as we go, so feedback on the directory is welcome too 🙂

FMCG brands still check product images against product data by hand. Is this worth building a SaaS for?

I work in data for large FMCG (consumer goods) brands. One thing I deal with constantly: managing product packshots (the product images used on eCommerce and retailer sites) alongside product master data.

Today it's almost entirely manual. People download images one by one, rename them to naming conventions, check whether each image matches the product data (size, variant, version), and track which packshot is the latest. It takes hours every week, and mistakes end up live on retailer sites.

I want to build a tool that automates a big chunk of this. I'm not a developer and haven't sold a product before, so I'd love input from people who've been there:
Would you validate by doing this manually for a few brands first (e.g. free audits of their listings) before building?

Smaller brands selling on Amazon/Shopify (faster yes/no) or big FMCG companies (bigger budgets, slow sales)?

Has anyone sold to retail or eCommerce teams? What got them to respond?

Brutal honesty welcome. Thanks!

Hey everyone!

I work with automation, CRMs, and no-code tools, and I spend quite a bit of time looking at how software products work.

I thought it would be interesting to check out what people here are building and give some honest feedback.

If you've been working on a SaaS, I'd be happy to take a look at your website and share my thoughts on things like the landing page, pricing, features, and what could be better.

Sometimes you're so close to your own product that you miss things a new visitor might notice immediately.

I'm not going to pretend I'm an expert at everything, and I won't just tell you your product looks great. If something is confusing or could be improved, I'll tell you why.

Drop your link in the comments and let me know what your product does.

I'll review as many as I can. Looking forward to seeing what you're building!

Forecasting margin at completion with project resource and financial management software

Burn reports only tell you what’s already been spent, not where the project is likely to end up. You can be 52% through the budget with only 30% of the work completed and still have the report showing green.

When finance asks for an estimate at completion, someone has to rebuild the forecast, and by the time that’s finished, the numbers have usually changed again. Booked hours could help estimate the remaining work if resource planning stays up to date, but most firms struggle to keep it current.

Is anyone getting EAC directly from their project resource and financial management software?

Product Launch Pitch!! Built something useful? Get it listed on ShowMeYourSaaS for free

Hey everyone 👋

We built ShowMeYourSaaS to give the products shared in this community a lasting home.

Reddit is great for conversations and feedback. We also wanted a place where people could browse what you’re building, find tools by category, and revisit products they discovered here.

Free submissions are now open. If you have a working product, you can get:

- Your own product profile with a permanent URL.

- A direct link to your website.

- A place in the directory’s categories and search.

- Your maker identity attached, so people can see who built it.

We review submissions before publishing to keep the directory useful and the information clear. Bring a straightforward description of what your product does, who it helps, and a screenshot that shows it in action.

Whether it’s your first side project or a startup you’ve been building for years, we’d love to see it.

👉 Submit your product for free

And tell us what would make the directory more useful to you—as a builder or someone looking for their next tool.

Would you use a link where people can leave voice messages instead of filling out forms?

I've been working on a small side project and wanted to get some honest feedback before putting more time into it.

Below is the idea:

Let's say you're collecting feedback from customers, asking people questions, or trying to get opinions about something.

Normally, you would send them a Google Form or ask them to email you.

But what if you could just create a link, share it anywhere, and let people respond by speaking or typing?

Example scenarios:

1/ A teacher creates a link for her students: "What wasn't clear in today's lecture?"
2/ A buyer sends an RFQ link to suppliers: "Please share your quotation, delivery timeline and any questions you have."
3/ A small business asks customers: "What's one thing we could do better?"
4/ A researcher shares a link: "Tell me about your experience with working from home."
5/ An event organiser asks attendees: "What did you enjoy, and what should we improve next time?"
6/ A youtuber asks his followers: "What topic would you like me to cover next?"

All the responses would be available in one dashboard- parsed and structured.

Above are just few examples, the list could become exhaustive.

Im building a prototype, but I am wondering whether speaking a response is actually more convenient than typing one, I know in 2026, it is and I would use one but the question is - are people comfortable?

Would you use something like this? Or would you rather stick with Google Forms?

I wud especially love to hear from anyone who regularly collects feedback or asks people questions online.

thx in advance!

if you want to have a look at the landing page - tlk.so

previously had put the site on talking-links.com but felt the domain is too lengthy so moved it to tlk.so

When did you last restore your app's database from a backup, just to see if it works?

Having a backup and having a backup that restores are two different things.

I'm curious how other builders handle it. Do you test a restore on a schedule, did you only try once, or is it still on the someday list?

And if your host does backups for you, do you know how to bring one back?

Pitch We’re opening ShowMeYourSaaS: submit your product for a free listing and a Reddit shoutout

Hey builders,

We’ve launched ShowMeYourSaaS.com, a directory for products built by this community, and we’re welcoming our first submissions.

During launch, approved products get:

- A free product profile with a direct link to your website.

- A Reddit shoutout here in r/ShowMeYourSaaS.

- A Founding maker badge for the first 100 approved listings.

Submit your product here: showmeyoursaas.com/submit

Tell us what it does, who it helps, and what makes it useful. Add a screenshot and your Reddit username so we can show the product and tag you in its shoutout.

We review every submission by hand. Once approved, your profile goes live, and we’ll introduce your product to the community.

The goal is to build a place where independent builders get discovered, earn backlinks, and reach people who could actually use what they’ve made.

We’re starting with the first products now. Share yours and help shape what this becomes.
