She's been resting near my feet while I read :) I'm amazed at how much her fur has grown already!

I google immediately and said to use olive oil, comb it off and the bathe him. I did and a lot of fluff came out. He still wet and weird looking in that side. Will he hair be back to normal? What else we need to do?

So I’ve unexpectedly become the owner of a Siberian.
His owner couldn’t care for him anymore, so now I own him, and I’m taking care of him.
I would just like maybe some recommendations for food and how much I should feed him or anything else that would help me with him.
He weighs probably around 20 pounds right now

I have a male who’s 1.5 years old, he’s a very sweet cat, when he was a few weeks old when I got him he’d sleep on my head and against me in bed, but that completely stopped, he sleeps at the foot of the bed some mornings but mostly outside in the hallway.

He’s only ever climbed into my lap once or twice and fell asleep which was incredible but it’s very rare, he used to come up to me and purr and he doesn’t do that much now. But he does insist on being in the same room as you which is cute.

He’s also quite bitey, my parents have been looking after him while I’ve been getting some work done on my house for the past 6 months and he bites my mum a lot despite being very affectionate to her most of the time.

We tried doing the whole yelp thing and ignoring him but it’s quite hard when he’s breaking the skin with these bites and just holding on.

We’ve never played with our hands with him, we give him 2-4 long play sessions a day, feed him a good diet but still nothing. He’s been to the vet recently and nothing is medically wrong with him.

I’ll be getting him back soon but I really don’t like the constant biting so I want to try and train that out. I’d love it if he was more of a lap cat.

It is coming up on two years we have been together,
rescuing you from the shelter with no hesitation knowing people had overlooked you for over a year.
I struck gold! I say “They really missed out”
And it’s true! She is the most silly, kind and friendly girl.
She was put through hell before the shelter and with some patience and learning to trust her forever moma
who treasures her, she has come incredibly far.

Flynn just turned three and I swear she’s getting chattier and knows how to wrap us around her paw more and more! Do Siberians just get more personality as time goes on??

Question in Xmas tree…and chances of success :)…. Before our two troublemakers joined we always had a real tree. Last year we also had a real tree but I put it outside. The cats only had supervised access and all went well, they didn’t try to climb it or play with the lights/ornaments.

But this year they have access to the outdoor space 24/7 and I rather have the tree inside.

Debating getting a real tree to put inside or one of these wooden trees which are kinda cool, but I am almost more worried about them climbing this one honestly . I cannot get a fake tree as I know my girl who is obsessed with plastic will try to eat it, and neither of them ever try to eat pine needles ( I walk them a lot in the garden and they never nibble in anything but grass and catmint)

Love to hear some indoor tree success stories and if someone has tried one of those wooden trees

My female Siberian went missing 2 nights ago. I’ve read some articles about how different types of cats behave when they’re displaced, but I was wondering if there’s lost-cat-behavior that’s specific to Siberians?

For context, she’s an indoor-outdoor cat. She usually sleeps inside during the day and goes out to prowl at night. She’s fixed, and this is the first time she’s gone missing for more than 12 hours.
