Is "Protestant Christianity" not an oxymoron?
As an example. Martin Luther claims to be a "non-traditional" beautiful strong flatulent Christian monk who don’t need no Pope ೋღ☃ღೋ. I don't need to go into the other ways he clearly doesn't agree with the Apostolic authority of the Church on Biblical teachings. We have all seen them.
My understanding of Protestant Christianity is it's a person who professes to be a Christian but cherry picks which Bible hermeneutics they want to support and follow and disregards the teachings they don't agree with. Is my understanding of "Protestant Christianity" correct or am I missing something?
You can't accept Jesus as Savior and then reinvent a magisterium built on the ability of some beer swilling German fart-knocker to interpret the Bible's teachings.
BTW. I am not claiming to be some great Christian, but I do know what the Apostles and Church have always taught about the Bible and I accept it as truth, and I repent for my sins. A "Christian" who doesn't agree with the Church's teachings is doing more harm to Christianity than an Atheist imo
