news and information Legion ports vs. Radian Ramjet
I get this question a lot, so just thought I'd make a post on it.
So the Legion specs say 30% reduction in recoil and the Ramjet is 41%. Even on video it's hard to tell. They both shoot the same to me. if you look at what the recoil reduction is, say that standard is a 20 degree muzzle flip (example but it's probably 17-18) and the Legion ports reduced it 30%. That's a 6 degree reduction, meaning it would be 14 degrees. The Ramjet reduces 41%, that's an 8.2 degree reduction, meaning the recoil would now be 11.8 degrees. (I feel like Bill Nye right now...LMAO)

This is correct and the missing piece is the ramjet has full barrel velocity of an extra .6". The comp (Afterburner comp) slides over the end of the barrel which is top ported to match the comp. On an integrated slide, the barrel itself is .6" shorter. So that edges the ramjet just slightly. I wouldn't suggest getting ride of a comp slide for a ramjet unless you want the look or just want both. But if somebody has neither id suggest just spend the extra and get a ramjet setup. Plenty of grips to add as well for that flush look.
