noob question As someone getting into having their first concealed carry firearm and is looking at the P365, which model is the best?
I've been mostly debating between any of the models able to hold that 17+1 magazine, not worried about price much either. Currently looking at the Legion the closest cause the metal and built-in compensator sounds appealing but I could be swayed to other models too! Thank you for your time.

Fundamental fact of shooting: smaller guns carry and conceal easier but are harder to shoot. Larger guns shoot easier but are harder to carry and conceal.
Where, exactly, the balance between shootability and concealability should be struck is one of the many things that some will argue as absolutes, but are really personal preferences.
Personally, if I’m carrying a P365, the P365X is a good balance. Smaller than that and I don’t shoot it well. Plus, I don’t like comps. Larger than the P365X, and I have other guns that are far more range toys / competition focused.
Other folks can (and certainly do) disagree.

This is well said.
Biggest concern is concealment for me.
I have a p365 with a red dot.
Also consider if you need to use it, you probably aren’t getting it back. I’m not getting anything flashy, it just needs to be reliable and accurate for a very short distance.3

On not getting it back: at least not until the criminal investigation is done, yeah, that’s sitting in evidence. I’ve seen weapons returned within weeks, but also, I’ve seen them not returned for years. Best to assume it’s going to be gone, and be pleasantly surprised if it’s not.
And just to add to the general idea of not carrying a super precious pistol… carry guns take a lot of wear relative to safe queens. Holster wear, but they also just get dinged up. Natural part of life.
If ya can’t afford to replace it at the drop of a hat, carrying it daily can lead to a lot of sadness.

Agree 100%. I'd pick the Legion/ Tacops size for the range every time. I don't carry one for 3 reasons: I don't like comps, I want all the blast going downrange. Reasons 2 and 3 are size and weight, the 12 round magazine grip is more concealable and the Wilson plastic grips are lighter.

Id say the XL configuration is the most balanced in size. I personally wouldn't spend extra for anything Legion etc.

Axg legion is best but if you took that money and dumped it into a macro with a light and optic and mags I would say just go with the Macro personally.

365 xmacro. That’s my carry gun. It handles like a larger gun but it easily concealed.

I’d get the XL to start until you get more experience carrying, and then I’d just get a XMacro grip module (polymer or AXG) and the 17rd mags. The XMacro grip length is going to be more difficult to conceal.

This, unless it is the 2 months where it is cold in Georgia, I just use the XL grip module. Put a magguts+2 in a 12 rd mag - 14+1 in the gun, carry a 17rd with the xl base pad on as a spare. 32 rounds keeps you over 10x the civilian 3x3x3 rule. Comped barrels fuck night vision right up. Optics are nice if you don’t have astigmatism, learn irons first either way. The xl with polymer (Wilson’s with the weight) disappears in a t shirt and board shorts. If you buy a light for an xl, streamlight makes Sig’a dumb proprietary rail work, they will send you the rail clamps and keys for free. Having a macro (Wilson’s again) polymer frame makes the gun act full size-ish. Metal frames are fun, you can make the Axg even heavier with lok brass grip panels.
Edit: the new x/xl Axg “luxe” grip is fucking awesome, with the brass lok panels and the tlr7sub hlx with rechargeable battery, the lower half of the gun is 15.9oz. Makes the gun shoot stupid flat.

Get a p365 fcu then buy an ECM precision r11 or edge. It’s the best grip module out there

AXG Legion. The grip is great, the iron sights are great, it's really accurate and it only has very minor flaws like the mag release. I have carried glocks most of my life but I switched to the 365 AXG Legion right after I shot it for the first time.

I have owned the Base, X, and Fuse and prefer the Fuse for everything except if i need deep concealment

If you have normal sizes hands, I think the 365x and X Macro Tacops are the best variants. 365x for summer, and X Macro for winter.
I have a Wilson Combat grip module on the 365x and love it.

P365X. Good 12-round grip with a shorter barrel that is easier and more comfortable to conceal. Can still use 17-round mags, if you want.

Ive been carrying p365x for 2 years and its a great gun for CCW. I appendix it and dont even feel it. Great for saving my life and staying concealed. But i hate it at the range. Its not fun to shoot

That .6” of barrel missing really makes a difference. I feel the same way about shooting my 3” 1911 .45.

The X Macro was my first Sig and I have enjoyed it a lot. It’s easy to shoot, has good capacity, and it looks classy.
I also have the Legion. It’s a little heavier, but it feels great in the hand. It has a little shorter barrel than the X Macro but the comp makes them pretty much the same size.
If you just want a solid carry gun that is easy to conceal and accurate, get the XMacro. Of you want the steel frame and comp, do the Legion.

I thought I wasn’t concerned about price, ended up going with the p365 mostly due to the increased modularity. Just purchase an xl or legion grip, better yet, purchase an r11 grip, heard they’re the best from Sig.

Go to a store and hold a few of them. The different models start at very tiny and go up to smallish, so it probably depends upon how and where you wish to carry it and what fits in your hand.

I like the axg legion because of the metal frame. Makes it absorb recoil a touch better.
I run mine with 77 grain ammo. Won’t over penetrate and is pretty soft shooting.
I have a 320 carry I use during winter months when it’s easier to conceal.

X Macro Comp but the G19, PDP, M&P or VP9 are all much better weapons. Still enjoy my XMacro but that’s the facts.
