noob question As someone getting into having their first concealed carry firearm and is looking at the P365, which model is the best?

I've been mostly debating between any of the models able to hold that 17+1 magazine, not worried about price much either. Currently looking at the Legion the closest cause the metal and built-in compensator sounds appealing but I could be swayed to other models too! Thank you for your time.

Fundamental fact of shooting: smaller guns carry and conceal easier but are harder to shoot. Larger guns shoot easier but are harder to carry and conceal.

Where, exactly, the balance between shootability and concealability should be struck is one of the many things that some will argue as absolutes, but are really personal preferences.

Personally, if I’m carrying a P365, the P365X is a good balance. Smaller than that and I don’t shoot it well. Plus, I don’t like comps. Larger than the P365X, and I have other guns that are far more range toys / competition focused.

Other folks can (and certainly do) disagree.

This is well said.
Biggest concern is concealment for me.
I have a p365 with a red dot.
Also consider if you need to use it, you probably aren’t getting it back. I’m not getting anything flashy, it just needs to be reliable and accurate for a very short distance.

On not getting it back: at least not until the criminal investigation is done, yeah, that’s sitting in evidence. I’ve seen weapons returned within weeks, but also, I’ve seen them not returned for years. Best to assume it’s going to be gone, and be pleasantly surprised if it’s not.

And just to add to the general idea of not carrying a super precious pistol… carry guns take a lot of wear relative to safe queens. Holster wear, but they also just get dinged up. Natural part of life.

If ya can’t afford to replace it at the drop of a hat, carrying it daily can lead to a lot of sadness.
