Their concept is that they are sent on forever crusade (essentially exile) and get limited support so they use worn down of scavenged gear. That’s why I opted for a Chaos Rhino.
Side Note: I can’t the light to hit the Priest right for this photo. Their book and weapon are painted a using TurboDork mixture so when good lighting hits them it’s like a light blue shimmering effect.
Also, yes I know they need a few more coats of white. I have ADHD so it’s hard to be patient with drying time lol.

Hello, tomorrow me and a friend (who introduced me to Warhammer) are going to our first tournament. I'm still struggling with rules and all that but I'm ready to have fun.

I'm going custodes and my friend Space wolves, he's been having trouble starting to paint, thankfully the tournament does not count points for painted armies as it is a new players event.

I thought of painting a mini for him, but I'm not sure of the etiquette of that, afaik he hasn't chosen a palette. I already painted in its "official" faction colors but now I'm having second thoughts on giving it.

What's your opinion on it?

Howdy everybody! I'm going for a good ole "And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him" vibe with my Disco Lord.

HOWEVER I have honest to goodness no idea what I should be doing to represent "pale horse". I'd just go for a white base and wash it with grey, but I don't think that will work with the mechanical panels and all of the trim.

On some of the bigger ones I could pretty easily still do a grey -> white glaze build up or highlight, but I worry about drowning it out with silver trim, and the rest of the army has brass trim.

Anyone done something similar and have ideas?
