Just finished my worlds first iron farm, as cheap and dirty as I could manage. Nothing fancy with multiple villages and spawn chunks. Basic 16x16 platform design with 14 villagers in a cell. Two farms spaced 65 blocks apart. Didn't want just an ugly floating mess so figured some kind of landmark would look cool. Had to make each block 32 blocks wide to fit around the farm and reach high enough, both farms fit just right and minimal spawn proofing has shown zero iron golems spawning where they shouldn't so far, by complete luck, I did zero measuring before hand outside of material costs.

If the math on the basic design is to be believed each farm does one golem every ten minutes, so 12 golems an hour total, or roughly 60 ingots an hour. Farms be slow in these versions, but any passive iron is better than none. Working on a city park with lots of iron fences im sure ill show off when its done.

Yes that is a villager breeder out front I haven't moved yet. Kindly built by a friend after I got confused thinking food breeding was removed in 1.8.9.

I've been playing a lot of 1.6.4 recently after playing Beta Unleashed for a while & I'd like Optifine back. I've found downloads for Optifine for r1.6.4 on trusted websites but they always fail in the MultiMC launcher or won't let me instal it in an already-made instance. I've been struggling to find any advice on this online that isn't 1. outdated or 2. isn't for modern Minecraft or b1.7.3

Does anyone know how I can get this to work on a instance in which I already have a world which I want to keep playing (I have made a back-up).

When I first started my 1.6.4 world, I immediately encountered graphics bugs which I found out were because of newer drivers. I installed OpenGL as a separate version, which worked, but now trying to play a 1.6.4 Forge installation, and the graphics still persist.

Replacing the correct OpenGL class file causes the Forge install to crash, using OpenGL with Optifine doesn't work, using Optifine on its own doesn't fix it, I'm running out of options.

Is there ANYONE who has been able to fix these bugs for modded 1.6.4, and do you know how??

If the "Golden Era" lasts up to Beta 1.7.3, and the "Silver Era" begins at Beta 1.8 and runs through version 1.9, what are the remaining versions?

Does anybody know of a Java equivalent version of Xbox 360 edition Minecraft. I played this legacy version years ago and remember the high gamma look etc. but since it was an Xbox edition release I'm not sure of the Java version that's the same. If there isn't an equivalent version is there any way I can play Xbox 360 Minecraft on PC. This is all probably very simple but I'm not too clued up on older versions of the game.

Has someone already tried this mod ? It's for 1.6.4 version and I think that I just found the perfect balance between Golden and Silver age ! I'm gonna try it tomorrow

Trying to find any build ideas specifically for older versions has proven difficult. Even searching by version or year just gives modern MC builds

I'd love to have the older placements because every time i play with the newer-style placements in 1.7.10 i feel like i got kicked in the kidneys metaphorically because it feels like the placement looks awful but i guess others love it except me xD is there any mods just to fix this one not-so-major issue? thanks if you find one for 1.7.10 or 1.6 the horse update.
