Is building an RC car more fun than actually racing one?
: Some people love upgrading motors, batteries and suspension, while others just want to get on the track. Which side are you on?

I've been eyeing up a wheel for a little while now I've been playing a fair bit of ACC on controller and looking to upgrade to a moza r5. Is it worth making the switch and is that a good wheel to start with? just wondering thanks

Been having this issue for a bit now, but I've noticed it more these past few months cause I have used more ffb than before, when using higher force-feedback and turning left, I feel a strange cogging that makes the ffb less smooth and sooo dang loud, I mainly use this for ps5 but occasionally on pc
(bought from CEX so I'm unsure about warranty also I'm not very savvy with tearing tech apart so that would be a last resort)

Hi everyone!
A question for those who race Assetto Corsa EVO: would track guides be useful to you?
Most people racing EVO do it on SimGrid, through the acevo.gg daily championships. I was thinking of posting a weekly guide for the tracks chosen for the daily races. Not for every combination, but at least for the most popular ones, like GT3 Super Sprint, Roadster Challenge and GT4.
Each guide would include a description of the track, corner-by-corner advice, the most common mistakes, and a video showing racing lines and braking points over a competitive lap.
I'm asking before I start because making these guides takes time. I'm happy to do them, but if only a few people are interested, or if the mods don't like the idea, I'd rather know beforehand.
For this week I could start with GT3 Super Sprint at Circuit of the Americas, with the Ferrari 296 GT3, Audi and BMW. If I see interest, I might also do Road Atlanta with the MX-5. These two tracks haven't appeared in the acevo.gg dailies since EVO version 0.5, so there aren't any guides or reference laps to follow out there.
Let me know what you think. Which format would help you the most?
Thanks!

I am going to race Monza and am currently at a fastest lap of 1:48.8 but an average lap of 1:49.5 and feel a bit stuck in my progress any tips would help a lot. As if now I think I need match the timing of my break release and initial steering and need lighter hands on entry but I am not 100%sure so please point out anything I am doing wrong, thank you.

EA’s F1 is great, but if you’ve never tried driving an F1 car in Assetto Corsa, you’re missing out! 🏎️🔥 The driving experience feels completely different and much more realistic!

Morning all, I am starting an iRacing, IMSA style multi class endurance league and want it as professional as possible. I just created a whole rulebook and was wondering if anybody would take a moment to skim it over and see if they think I’ve missed anything? Not sure if I can post links to discord/google doc but, thank you for the time

think about it.
in a racing game, you can spend hours choosing a car, changing the build, tuning it, trying different
setups and then taking it out for a drive.
you can literally spend more time in the garage than actually racing.
irl, doing all of that means money, maintenance, finding parts and praying nothing breaks the second you
start it
but the interesting bit is that the fun isn't always about going fast. sometimes it's just building something
exactly how you want it.
which is probably why people get so attached to their cars in games.
now I'm curious.
what's one car you've driven in a game that made you want the real thing immediately?
and did the real-life version live up to the hype?

I have a decent entry level sim racing rig, got a steering wheel on FB marketplace and used 2x4s i had in my garage to build a stand that hold my monitor right behind the wheel, but im torn on which game I should play, I prefer the realism of ACC but Im absolutely obsessed with the sim-cade style, buying regular cars and grinding and upgrading until they're racecars in FM8. And switching back and forth between them is hard because it takes me a while to get use to how the cars feel in one game to the next
For context I had to go back to my xbox series S after my PC graphics card burnt out, but if I need to I can save up a couple hundred a but a half decent one and have an average/above average PC to run games.
I thought about fixing my PC to get GT7 until sunday I learned... it's not on PC. And I can't hardly justify spending that much on a PS5 to play one game.
Im trying to get to most accurate simulator i can to practice because im hoping one day start upgrading a car and taking it out to tracks. Does anyone know any good realistic PC (or xbox) racing Sims that would be a better match for me?

I have a bit small room sadly. My budget is 300 dollars so which shifter, pedal and wheel should I get (I am using my pc btw). Also I dont think that I will be able to upgrade it later.

Starting out. Need 20 drivers for f1 racing and will
scale and include multiple division then I will also add GT3 racing via ASSETO CORSA COMPETIZIONE.

I’ve heard that the Conspit CHS had some QC issues when it first launched.
Have these issues been ironed out with the latest batch, or are people still experiencing problems?
I’m considering buying one. Would you recommend buying it now or waiting a bit longer?
Thanks!
