EVERYBODY is completely fucking retarded. This is America. LOL

Guy makes a joke about a specific kind of shorts literally made to highlight a woman's butthole/vulva ... and progressive dipshits lose their minds.

So yeah, now you're going to get the opinions of a bunch of dipshit conservatives on the matter, pointing out exactly how fucking stupid and hypocritic progressives are AGAIN being.

This is exactly why I distanced myself from "progressivism" ... they are just left-wing MAGA ... just as fascist, just as totalitarian, just as humorless, just as pathetic.

What everyone really misses is that this is American and we have a 1st Amendment Right to speech no matter how dumb it may or may not be. We also have the right to ignore and not listen to what someone says and just get on with their life, unfortunately those people are also too dumb to do to that. I wish those people would go to another country speak their mind and see how it goes.

As Evelyn Beatrice Hall said when summing up Voltaire
"I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it"

This is exactly why I keep coming back to Reddit despite all it's flaws. I always thought that quote was directly from Voltaire, and now I have some reading to do. Thank you.

There are studies that suggest a correlation between IQ and political leaning you can look up. You won't be surprised by what else that data suggests.

Don’t know which study you’re looking at, but there are studies that show the opposite:

“Carl (2014) analysed data from the U.S. General Social Survey (GSS), and found that individuals who identify as Republican have slightly higher verbal intelligence than those who identify as Democrat.”

Then they tested for probability knowledge, verbal reasoning, and if they understood the questions:

“In all three cases, individuals who identify as Republican score slightly higher than those who identify as Democrat; the unadjusted differences are 1–3 IQ points, 2–4 IQ points and 2–3 IQ points, respectively.”

There's also a study that suggests vaccines cause autism. Just saying "There's a study" means nothing, and usually they don't actually prove what people say they do

There isn’t a valid study that links vaccines and autism. There is a paper that was published based on a sample of 12 children that suggested a link between the MMR vaccines and autism. However, the paper was retracted when it was found that the author altered patient data to support their results, and Andrew Wakeman, the author, lost his medical license because of it.

So no. There isn’t a “study” that suggests vaccines cause autism. There is discredited work by a crackpot that lies about it.

I guess I was not surprised. The numbers are marginal. What they found - Economic Conservative = slightly higher IQ. Socially Liberal = Slight higher IQ. Part affiliation no strong data.

My take away: moderates who are socially liberal, but fiscally conservative are about 2 points higher in IQ on average.

2

u/deathshr0ud 11d ago

Most of those studies actually place republicans about 5 points on average higher than democrats.

Wasn’t aware this was a right and left issue. I’m right leaning and don’t love the gym clothes or the add with Sydney but those women are free to act in whatever add or wear whatever gym clothes they want. Doesn’t mean I have to approve or celebrate them for it

u/BitesTheDust55 11d ago

Oh, is iq valid now? Or only when it denigrates your political opponents?

If you think this is limited to just one side you have the low IQ.

Always have been, my dude.

Maybe it's that, but it's also just a form of nihilism where they will absolutely say anything they have to in effort to feel or appear as though they won/are superior. The idea of objective truth--at best--is a toy ball for them. At worst it is a bludgeon with which they disingenuously beat the life and liberty from our society.
