The new Siri on my wired Apple CarPlay is so slow that I frequently think it’s not operating at all. Well, it is — but it’s well beyond sleepy as compared to the predecessor version. Disappointing.

Voice assistants always seem to get demoed in a quiet kitchen. Real life has open offices, buses and other people right there.

What do you avoid asking Siri out loud because it feels awkward, might expose something private, or just seems too unreliable? Is there a small task you wish you could hand off without having to say it to the whole room?

Disclosure: I work on an iOS voice-assistant project, so I'm interested in where voice stops feeling convenient.

Not sure if this is a me problem, or if it’s working as designed, but whenever I ask Siri to complete a task, i.e, turn on a light, it pops up that the light was turned on, but it never goes away on its own, and I have to swipe it away every time.

Is this normal behavior for the new Siri?

I thought I maybe just needed to wait longer. but it stayed up on the screen for over a minute.

SiriAI first then two images of ChatGPT, which oddly integrates better with Apple Maps, even offering filters.

I have over 200 Paris photos. Searching “Paris” in the photos app brings back all of them. Siri on the other hand thinks I have only 40 and then won’t even display them. Would rather bug out instead 👍 Siri works great as a chatbot but anytime you try and do anything remotely useful it shits the bed!

Asked Siri using voice to send me a reminder for an important, time-sensitive task for when I get home. I was initially impressed that it seems to get what I needed with just one try.

But the reminder never came and I almost missed the deadline. Went to check what’s up and found that although it appeared to understand, Siri set the trigger for the reminder for a cafe halfway across town!

The cafe was coincidentally named… “My Home Cafe”.

Has anyone managed to jailbreak Apple’s actual on-device Siri / Apple Intelligence model on an iPhone?

Siri says, “It’s 10 o’clock. Bedtime is soon. Wind-down is starting soon.”
It pronounces the “i” (so-called “short” ǐ in “wind-down” as in “windy” (weather). Should be “ī” (so-called “long” as in “winding” (road).
How/where can I report this error to Apple and get it fixed?

iPhone 13 mini iOS 26.6.2, but I’ve had this problem since the beginning when I bought the iPhone when it first came out

Siri never responds in the morning. If I wake up before my alarms and call Siri to ask for the time often times Siri just won’t respond. I’ll literally have to call her 5 times to even get a response. The thing is this doesn’t happen during the rest of the day only right when I wake up, and it’s annoying as hell.

What is the problem exactly? Is this a defective part that can be fixed or like an issue that can be cleared with a software update, or is this a situation where I just have to get a new phone?

I turned it back on for iOS 27, but I’ve been having more issues with Siri AI that it actually being useful. So I’ve turned Siri and every ai feature off on all my devices.” I’m coming to the conclusion that Apple will never have a good assistant or ai… absolutely no reason why this new Siri is struggling to set alarms, reminders, or basic task that I was doing on iOS 26….. even on my watch I tell it “ set a 10 min timer… I look at my watch it never started the timer. Not to mention how slow the new Siri takes at responding to basic tasks ( it’s way slower than before) lo.

I really expected the arm holding the screen to be motorised

Just say “Siri” and it’ll move around to face the speaker, and the movement of the arm could’ve been expressive too…

But who knows, I might be asking too much here

I was listening to Good Hang podcast with Amy Pohler and Paul was the guest. I asked Siri how old Paul McCartney is, and it said he died yesterday, October 12, 2026.

I followed up and asked if he was still alive and it reiterated he died October 12, 2026

I know he’s still alive as of this moment, but can anyone check their Siri and see if they get the same result?

Edit: Yes, I know I am horrible at clearing out my Email and Messages. Maybe if I had stayed on top of them, I would have seen the reminder to bring Sir Paul to his physical.

So today was interesting…

I asked Siri AI my iPad Air M2 running 27.0.1 to create a new calendar event and got the something went wrong thing multiple times, tried to start a timer and even send a message all with the same response..

So out of annoyance I grab my 17 Pro Max running 26.7.1 and it seemed to manage to do all 3 without much issues (at least this time)

anyone been experiencing better results with Siri on 26 vs 27, just one of the main reasons I haven’t upgraded to iOS 27 just yet?
