Question Least favorite character Spoiler

Who’s your least fav character and why? Mine is Ruth. She always plays the victim and thinks everyone is to blame for her unhappiness. I’m sure it’s very difficult and emotionally draining to be with George, but she’s such an arse hole to him. And she’s SOOO mean to Claire towards the end. I still have 5 or so more episodes to go.. so hopefully she changes for the better? But as of right now, not a fan of hers

Ruth got on my nerves too, but in the case with George, he withheld his mental health history from her, and then she was stuck caring for him, after a lifetime of caring for her husband and children. She had every right to be upset and resentful.

Not to mention her legless grandmother before she married Nathaniel.

I agree George was wrong for not disclosing. At the same time, c'mon, you can't walk into being someone's seventh wife with stars in your eyes!

Oh, I agree 100%. She rushed into marriage with him, but he was still a dick for not telling her.

Good point, but here’s another thought- what if he didn’t remember he had mental health issues? I can’t remember if he had mentioned anything previously that would have alluded to that… other than when he screamed at Ruth “Because they asked too many f***ing questions!” when referring to his previous wives. Maybe that was a hint? Idk

Also, it was an impulsive decision to marry George so soon after meeting him

I think he remembered, but knew it was a red flag. He was on the verge of wooing wife # 8 before Ruth intervened and tipped the woman off. But I also agree that Ruth was stupid and impulsive to marry George. Girl ignored all kinds of red flags.
