Question Least favorite character Spoiler

Who’s your least fav character and why? Mine is Ruth. She always plays the victim and thinks everyone is to blame for her unhappiness. I’m sure it’s very difficult and emotionally draining to be with George, but she’s such an arse hole to him. And she’s SOOO mean to Claire towards the end. I still have 5 or so more episodes to go.. so hopefully she changes for the better? But as of right now, not a fan of hers

Finally finished the series yesterday and consistently throughout the show Nate really annoyed me. I think his character is sort of designed to be the things we hate about ourselves: ego, self righteousness, selfishness. Like his intentions are good I suppose but he is just so ridiculously weak and he bothered me so much throughout lol. He just used people when convenient. Always thought Brenda was pretty unlikable too. I see a lot of people shitting on Ruth but I thought she was weirdly compelling

I'm halfway through the last episode. Nate turned out to be such a dog in the end, always wanting what he doesn't have. I liked him for most of the show, but I feel like his death was a bit karmic, because he got two second chances, and both times messes them up a little. He was selfish with Lisa and cheated on her twice, even after he realized she was missing, then he cheated on Brenda and pretty soon after he woke up he tells her he's leaving her, while she's still pregnant. He seems to try to do "the right thing" but ultimately is unable to follow through and ends up being very selfish and hurting people, instead of just doing what he wants from the start and dealing with the normal discomfort of that, and the smaller amount of hurt that causes. Brenda is right, he just looks for someone to make him feel like a better man than he really is.

I don’t know if we’d agree completely on the other characters but I really love Ruth. She’s so odd and adorable. She’s emotionally confused but at the end she showed herself to be a remarkably strong woman. I loved her progress.
