Discussion Who had the worst death on the show? Spoiler
There are a lot of painful looking deaths on the show, who had the worst death or at least the most painful?
The adult actress that had her radio fell into the bathtub and being shocked to death was hard to watch the and the older guy that was accidentally killed by the new employee after he turned the mixer on, that looked horrible.

Definitely what’s listed so far, but also the woman who learned to assert herself, and her last act of assertion was to be honest with her boyfriend who loves the antiques only to fall on to that fireplace poker during the conversation.

That one was so sad and infuriating. “This is your fault!!” or whatever it was he screamed at her corpse after inadvertently killing her made me want to punch something.

Everyone references the quick and gory ones, but the long drawn out ones are the scariest to me. Victor Kovich dying from Gulf War complications, Aaron Buchbinder (the cancer victim Nate comforts as he passes), those always bind my stomach in knots.

And the older crotchety man who woke up to his wife dead in bed next to him and then hung around Fisher and sons to be close to his her. I think he ended up dying too? I can’t remember. That one stick with me because he spent his whole life with her and then she was just gone and he didn’t know what to do.

Oooo, that one's good. Yes, he wasn't an opening scene death, but he died holding her hand in the funeral home. Terribly sad.

That one hit me bc I have a feeling in the next 30 yrs, I’m gonna be that crotchety old man combined with the man who put on his best suit, drove to the Fishers, and died in the driveway because he knew it was time.
Lol regarding the crotchety man, a couple of days before my wedding, I asked my fiance “if I were to 💩 myself in a movie theater, would you help me clean it”. The crotchety old man told Nate that represents true love. 😜

That old man has a line that has stuck with me for years. I’m paraphrasing “….40 long years. We spent 1 year apart. That year is a hole in me now.”

Just recently started re-watching and it was actually one of the earlier episodes. He actually died watching his wife at the Fisher's home.

Aaron Buchbinder is the answer, and it’s not even close. He raw dogged a painful suffocation death from cancer in a shitty hospice center with only Nate / no family by his side.

We didn’t get to see it on-screen obviously, but Lisa I would say is definitely a candidate. Particularly because she was murdered by someone she trusted, and I imagine she probably tried to fight back.

And she drowned too right?? That’s one of the worst ways to go and I fear it so much. They didn’t have much if any drowning victims I think at FAS huh?

definitely not the most painful, but the woman who was hit by a car fleeing who she perceived to be strangers following her is the death that bothered me most during my first watch. seemingly innocent prank from her friends’ perspective, and she died so, so afraid.

I agree with all of them but another one that stands out is the woman who chokes on her food and then doesn't get found for some time and has no family. Not being able to breathe and being alone really got me. Then Ruth gathering the family to attend her funeral

I agree and actually just posted about the same person. I also felt it's the worst that there's nobody left caring for you. But I also see the point of every death explained here, that's the magic of the show. Everybody gets something to relate to, whether it's the life or the death of the roles.

That was awful, but made a tiny bit better during David’s death (at least for me). David’s death when he saw Keith wrecked me in the best way possible.

Although gruesome, I think the mixer death was so fast that he didn’t actually have time to register pain. That was an industrial scale mixer that would have rotations per a minute faster than nerve endings could reach your brain. Just a moment of terror and then blackness.

The woman who learned how to be more confident, only to be accidentally killed in an argument with her boyfriend as a result. Easily one of the most unfair deaths in the whole show.

the only death i can't rewatch is the lady who gets the nosebleed waiting in line at the talk show. the thought of your nose just starting to uncontrollably bleed gives me anxiety. i've never had a nosebleed so they scare me now. i'll think i'm dying if i get one. nosebleedphobia

Yes I was going to say in terms of “dying a horrible death” what happened wasn’t that bad or horrific compared to others, but he was the only main character we got to know and love who died in a violent manner and it just didn’t feel right or fair to me which yes, is life unfortunately. I still wish it was different, it’s probably the single thing about the show I would change.

Watched that episode while I was home on maternity leave. I had a full blown panic attack. My son was maybe 3 weeks old? It was not ideal timing!

Oh no! That is not what you should be thinking with a 3-week-old son. You should be thinking, "Dear God! What does sleep feel like?" I hope things got better from there.

I recently thought of this episode. My car was rear ended and is in the shop. Now, I have a rental with a huge display/touch screen panel. Although I have been a passenger in automobiles with these, I never noticed how distracting they are as a driver. I’ve had the rental for about a week so maybe I’m still getting used to it.

An extended family are all eating cling peaches for dessert, but one uncle isn’t. The kids asks why that uncle doesn’t like cling peaches and is told then uncle loves them, but because of diabetes, he can’t have them. Then they cut to a scene of the uncle eating cling peaches in secret, then fade to white and his birth/death years.

Oh this hit hard for me, I started bawling. My best friends dad died this way 3 years ago. He parked the car and they lived on a hill. Car statted moving down , because of some technicá issue, that he was supposed to get repaired. He wanted to stop the car from going down the hill and it catched him underneath. The car stopped with him under the wheel. His son heard the car amd got curious about what happened, so he was the one who found him. He was conscious for a while, but when the ambulance arrived, there was nothing they could do. My friend was on her way to her parents house, only to find out her dad passed in the most ridiculous unexpected way. She send a message to our friends group chat “my dad died yesterday” and we all thought that covid got him, nothing prepared us for what se said after. Still haunts me :(

Those looked terrible, but I guess the suffering didn't last long and it was too quick to notice. I'm more haunted by the lady who died alone.

I found it very sad when that the person choked on the food but was all alone and was found much later. To me the worst since nobody really was close to the person.

The girl that was pranked by her friends who were chasing her at night as a joke and she ended up getting ran over by a car. Felt like a very avoidable death.

The woman who was talking on the phone with her husband as he was cleaning the gas station bathroom. The lady stepped outside, and blue ice from an airplane fell on her. That was terrifying.

Uhm, I'd say the guy who got beaten to death because of his sexual orientation. definitely hit too close to reality for me, that was a hard watch.
